
Health Department, Punjab organizes Free Covid Testing camp at Aryans
In the wake of steep rise in Corona cases, a special free Covid 19 testing camp was conducted to spread awareness on the measures to prevent the spread of pandemic at Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh. This day long camp to conduct RT- PCR (Reverse Transcriptase Polymerase Chain Reaction) was organised in association with Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Punjab.
The staff, faculty members, workers and residents from nearby villages including Alampur, Nepra, Thuha etc. gave their samples for the testing. More than 80 samples were collected in this camp. The camp was led by Dr. Pawandeep Kaur Assistant Medical Officer,. Community Health Centre, Kalomajra along with Mr. Hitesh Kumar; Mr Bharambath Singh, Pharmacy Officer & Mr. Jasbir Singh, Helper, Kalomajra.
Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group said that We organised this camp due to the recent uptick in the number of COVID -19 positive cases. The testing could help in establishing the status of COVID situation in the campus. The staff and community members to strictly follow COVID-19 appropriate behaviour to stave off the transmission of infection, appealed Kataria.
Dr. Pawandeep Kaur said that we received a good response from both the staff and locals and got more than 80 samples today. College management has been able to successfully organize the testing camp. She appreciated the efforts of college for organising the camp.

After Completion, the valedictory program was graced by Dr. Indu Pal Kaur, Chairperson, University institute of pharmaceutical sciences (UIPS), Panjab University Chandigarh as Chief Guest & Dr. Balwinder Singh, Director, College Development Council (CDC), MRSPTU as Guest of honour. Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group presided over the program.

It is to be mentioned that hundreds of faculty from various pharmacy colleges across nation registered as participants & core research domains, including pharmacognosy, pharmaceutical biotechnology, pharmaceutical analysis, pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacology and pharmaceutics, Nanotechnology etc. During the closing ceremony the participants were honored with the certificates. Dr. Bhupinder Singh Bhoop, Professor, University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Panjab University, Chandigarh was the Chief Guest & Dr. Ashish Baldi, Dean, R&D, MRSPTU, Bathinda was Guest of Honor of the inaugural ceremony. Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group presided over the program. Hundreds of faculty from various pharmacy colleges across nation registered as participants.
Dr. Bhoop while addressing said that the time has changed pharmacy into a multidisciplinary subject with core research domains, including pharmacognosy, pharmaceutical biotechnology, pharmaceutical analysis, pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacology and pharmaceutics. Dr. Baldi said that over the years, pharmaceutical scientists have been instrumental in discovering and developing innovative drugs that save thousands of people’s lives and improve the quality of life. Now the research has moved to the next-generation era of drug discovery, he highlighted.

Aryans engineering students bags gold medals in IKGPTU merit list
In the recently released merit list of IKGPTU, Jalandhar, the Students of Aryans College of Engineering, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh have brought laurels to their institution by bagging two gold medals and securing four positions in the merit list.
As per university merit list the gold medal & 1st position was bagged by Mr. Sameer Javaid from B.Tech Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE) from 2014-2018 batch securing 84.92% marks while another gold medal & 1st position was bagged by Mr. Amandeep Singh from B.Tech EEE, LEET (2014-2017 batch) & secured 82.26% marks. The 2nd & 4th positions were bagged by Mr. Imtiyaz Ahmad Shah securing 84.58% marks & Mr. Shahid Ul Islam securing 83.52% marks respectively from B.Tech Civil Engineering (2012-2016 batch).
Dr. J.K. Saini, Diector, Aryans College of Engineering congratulated the students and faculty for the continuous efforts and hard work done. He said that the passion and commitment of all teachers to their role as educators is the primary reason for the outstanding academic performance of the college over the years.

Fourth Free Covid-19 Vaccination Camp held at Aryans
In view of surging cases, as after Alpha, Beta, Gamma and Delta variant of Corona Virus, the omicron variant is gaining momentum, a vaccination camp was organized by Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura Chandigarh in association with the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of Punjab at Aryans Campus.
In this vaccination camp, first & second dose was administered to around 50 persons belonging to 18 & above age group including students, teaching & non teaching staff along with people from nearby region.
The Paramedical team including Mr. Ramanjeet Singh Multipurpose Health Worker; Ms Amandeep Kaur, Lab Technician from Community Health Center, Kallomajra was present in camp.
Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group while appreciating the initiatives of health department said that once again entire world is recording a steep spike in Covid-19 cases amid fresh concerns caused by the Omicron variant of the coronavirus, and to protect oneself from the virus, vaccination is important. It is now the social responsibility of every individual to reach at camps and help the administration in preventing this wave of the pandemic, added Kataria.

Aryans organizes Legal Aid Awareness Camp on National Consumer Day
To highlight the importance of consumer rights and to focus on the need to spread awareness about consumer importance and responsibilities, Aryans College of Law, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh organized Legal Aid Awareness Camp on National Consumer Day in nearby villages & the population was detailed about Voting Rights for Women, Fundamental Rights, participation in Panchayats, Marriage Law, Law on Divorce & Maintenance, Law against Domestic Violence, Dowry Prohibition and Female Foeticide. Mrs. Sukhman Bath, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, District Bureau of employment and enterprises, Patiala, Govt. of Punjab was the Guest of Honour. The camp was organized under the leadership of Prof BS Sidhu, Director, Aryans Group.
On the completion of camp while addressing & encouraging the law students in Aryans Campus, Mrs. Bath said that such awareness camp always impart practical knowledge about the basic legal rights and remedies provided under various women related laws & various machineries of the Justice delivery system available for redressal of their grievances. Consumers have been now empowered & has also brought changes in the process by which consumer complaints are dealt with, added Bath.
Prof BS Sidhu, Director, Aryans Group said that Legal literacy camp platforms act as catalysts to help everyone to engage constructively with the government and access their basic rights and entitlements, women’s empowerment which are key for their survival and well-being. Aryans law students being a part of this awareness camps were exposed to practical knowledge which is a must for budding lawyers.
It is to be mentioned that December 24 is celebrated annually in India as National Consumer Rights Day to commemorate December 24, 1986, when the Consumer Protection Act received assent of the President of India. The students from LLB & BA.
