The Education Scholarship Scheme for Army Personnel (ESSA), managed by the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES), provides financial assistance to the children of serving Army personnel and MNS officers. This merit-based scheme encourages academic excellence by reducing the financial burden on families who serve our nation.
Key Eligibility
- Target Group: Wards of currently serving Army personnel and Military Nursing Service (MNS) officers.
- Age Limit: Must be under 25 years of age at the time of course completion.
- Exclusions: Wards of retired, deceased, or Territorial Army (TA) personnel are not eligible for ESSA. (These groups are often covered by separate welfare schemes).
- Level: Open for students enrolled in any recognized institution from Class 9 up to Post-Graduation.

- Registration: Register using your mobile number and verify via OTP.
- Documentation: You will need to upload:
- Original Category (OC) Certificate.
- Verified Marksheets (authenticated by your institution).
