Aryans Law students participate in National Moot Court Competition at Indore
Former Lok Sabha Speaker, Smt. Sumitra Mahajan & Renowned legal luminaries were Present
With the aim to increase the ability of the law students to develop legal argumentation skills in the field of practical work, a two days National Moot Court Competition was Organised at Government New Law College (GNLC), Indore. The 14 teams from various law colleges across the country participated.
The BA-LLB students from Aryans College of Law, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh including Adil Goyal, Delisha Goyal Adarsh Jha participated in the competition. The inaugural ceremony was graced by Smt. Sumitra Mahajan (Former Lok Sabha Speaker), Sh. Pushyamitra Bhargav (Additional Advocate General, M.P Govt.), Dr. Sachin Sharma, Dr. Nisha Dubey, Dr. Suresh Silawat followed by distribution of Memorials for the Pre-Liminary & knock out rounds.
Various rounds were Judged by MR. Justice Ved Prakash Sharma (Former Justice, High Court, MP; MR. Justice Syed Ali Naqvi (Former Justice, High Court, M.P); Sh. Gulab Sharma (Retd. District and Session Judge, Indore); Sh. Lal Singh Bhatti (Retd. District and Session Judge, Indore); Dr. Inamur Rahman, Advocate (Principal, GNLC, Indore).
Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges said that a career in law often provides situations in which professionals are required to use their wits and research to come up with a solution to navigate through the complexities of the legal challenges they face. A moot court competition sets the groundwork for that process from the beginning. Therefore, the law students are entitled to this experience, asserted Kataria.
He also said that the endeavor of GNLC, Indore to organize a national-level competition is so appreciable where law students interacted with judges and academicians from across the country and gained a unique experience of learning how courtroom proceedings do play out in real life.




Chief Justice Ansari (Retd.) addresses Aryans Law Students on Human Rights Day
To celebrate Human Rights Day,Aryans College of Law, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh organized a webinar on “Equality, Reducing Inequalities, Advancing Human Rights”. Justice Iqbal Ahmed Ansari, Former Chief justice Patna High Court, Chairperson, Punjab State Human Rights Commission was the keynote speaker. Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group presided over the Webinar.
Justice Ansari while interacting with students explained all 30 articles of Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) chartered on this day in 1948. He also explained History and protection of Human Rights under International Human Rights Law. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights is a milestone document that proclaimed the rights which everyone is entitled to as a human being, regardless of race, colour, religion, sex, language, political opinion, national origin, property, birth or other status. The Declaration sets out universal values and is available in 500 languages, he added.
He further said that this global crisis has been fuelled by deepening of poverty, rising inequalities, structural & entrenched discrimination & other gaps in human rights protection. Only measures to close these gaps and advance human rights can ensure we fully recover to a world that is better and more resilient, just and sustainable.
It is to mention that International Human Rights Day is observed on December 10 annually. The main aim behind celebrating this day is to improve the physical, social, cultural and spiritual well being and welfare of the vulnerable group of people globally. On this Occasion a poster presentation competition was also organised & students participated enthusiastically.

The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), UT Chandigarh organised Summer E-Internship programme for budding law professionals in the month of June where around 50 students of Aryans College of Law were selected under this 2 weeks programme.
At DLSA, in an event above law interns were awarded with the certificates by Sh Ashok Kr Mann, CJM-cum- Secretary & Mr. Neil Roberts, Chief Coordinator, DLSA, UT Chandigarh.
Mann while interacting with the law students said that Legal internships helps law students decide their respective areas of interest out of a plethora of opportunities offered by legal education be it a career in a corporate law firm, litigation, academics & working for NGOs.
Dr Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group while thanking Chief Guest & addressing students said that law students shall keep on brainstorming and aim for clarity on whatever they are witnessing. The experience which a student gains from an internship is valuable in growing a career in law, added kataria.
On this occasion Dr. Garima Thakur, Deputy Director, Aryans Group, Ms Sanskriti Rana; Mrs. Anchal Jariyal, Faculty, Aryans College of Law & Ms. Manjeet Kaur, were also present.

Amid surging cases of Covid-19, the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), UT Chandigarh organised Summer E-Internship programme for budding law professionals. 50 students of Aryans College of Law, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh were selected under this E- Internship programme. The Interns came across various eminent personalities who gave an insight into the Legal Aid and services mechanism besides literacy programmes and schemes framed for “Access to Justice for All”.
During this 2 weeks long E- Internship various legal experts, psychologists and social reformers from Chandigarh including Sh Ashok Kr Mann; CJM-cum- Secretary, DLSA; Sh Rajeshwar Singh, Law Officer, State Legal Service Authority (SLSA); Ms. Seema Pascricha, Master Trainers of Mediation, Sh Neil Roberts, Chief Coordinator, DLSA; Dr Satinder Kaur; Chairperson, Child Welfare Committee; Dr Madanjit Sahota; Member, Juvenile Justice Board; Sh J. S. Jayra; Principal, Institute for the Blind; Mr. Dhananjay & Mr Simranjit Singh representing transgender Community; Sh V.K. Kapoor (Retd IPS); Member, Permanent Lok Adalat; Sh Vikramjeet Godwani; Incharge, Protection Home; Ms Sonal Kalia, Sr. Supervisor, Women & Child Helpline (181); Dr Upneet Lalli, Deputy Director, Institute of Correctional Administration etc adressed the interns on different social and legal subjects.

Authority for giving the students an opportunity to interact with the team at Legal Service Authority. He further expressed his thankfullness to Sh Ashok Kr Mann, CJM cum Secretary, DLSA and his team and said that the knowledge and experience of grass root realties gained at the initial stage of academic pursuit would be immensely valuable in professional career of the students.
Ms Puneet Kaur and Mr Ankur Garg, interns from Aryans College of Law stated that they had wonderful experience learning with resource persons of DLSA, UT Chandigarh who made them aware about the problems and challenges being faced by certain sections because of social and economic barriers.
