
In a major breakthrough, Govt. of India grants Copyright to Aryans Shikara App developed by Aryans JK students
JK students of Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh have brought laurels to the valley.
The copyright entitled “Aryans Shikara App” has been approved by the Copyright Office, Government of India, Diary Number 4191/2022-CO/SW, dated 23rd April, 2022. The App has been developed by JK Engineering students of Aryans to reduce the gap between Shikara owners and riders.
The relaunching of this App was held at Srinagar. Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, Secretary, Tribal Affairs Dept., J&K was the Chief Guest. Dr. Anshu Kataria presided over the event.
Dr. Choudhary while appreciating Aryans JK students & launching of this app said that Kashmiri students have great potential in every sphere to lead the country. I have interacted with Aryans students many times & it gives me immense pleasure that again I am motivating them. The tribal affairs department & Skill development mission, J & K will always support Aryans JK students whenever they will be taking initiative for the betterment of country, he added.
Choudhary further added that I have also addressed Aryans students last year who have done various innovations for the valley. The innovations have not only attracted the tourist from the world but I hope that in future too they are going to help in improvement of social life of the kashmiris, Choudhary said.
Feeling ecstatic while congratulating team Aryans, Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group said that students have created a platform where details of all Shikara owners from Gate No 1 to 20 have been made available on this App. With this the tourist can choose the gate and owner of the Shikara well in advance from where he wants to start the ride. On the other hand, Shikara owner also have the choice to accept or reject the ride offers.
Dr. Garima Thakur, Deputy Director, Aryans Group said that “The idea of developing an app for booking Shikaras hit our mind after hearing about Ola & Uber which are used for cabs bookings and Chairman, Dr. Anshu Kataria inspired us on this idea. Many other innovations done by our students have also been launched earliest and gained popularity widely. Aryans is the only campus near Chandigarh outside Kashmir having over 2000 students from various parts of Jammu & Kashmir, Thakur said.
The Shikara app project has been completed under the guidance of Ms. Manpreet Mann & Ms Punika Mahajan, Faculty, Aryans College of Engineering. While thanking Govt. of India, Mann & Mahajan said that shikara app was initially started by CSE students including Riyaz Rasool, Irfan Ahmad Malik, Abid Mushtaq, Aquib, Shakir Ahmad, Asif Ahmad, Mehbooba Bano, Bilal, Mehzabeen, and Sabreena did hard work in getting the details of Shikara owners and generating the database to get it on one platform while the work has been completed by Rumaisa, Muneeba, Hashim, Abhinandan. The app still is in process of refinement for payment gateway so that the customer can pay the shikara owners digitally & would be further enhanced for responsiveness & to be more interactive with customers, added Manpreet Mann, Rumaisa & others.
President, Shikara Association, Dal, Wali Mohammad Bhat was also present on the occasion. While appreciating the efforts , Wali Mohd thanked Aryans students who did hard work in getting the details of Shikara owners and generating the database on one platform. Now the tourist would have the flexibility to book Shikara on any gate via their smartphone from any area & they would not have to wait in queues for same, wali added.
The Shikara App is android based app of 1.4 version & of 6.61 MB. In past, many innovations done by Aryans students including “Aryans Solar Boat” that can run through solar energy, “Aryans Android App” to make campuses paper free, “Aryans Save Kashmir App” for the rescue operation at the time of floods in Kashmir, “Aryans Life Saving Glove” to provide timely assistance to the people prone to the risk of cardiac disease, “Aryans Safety Helmet” to provide timely first aid at construction/ mining/ industrial sites, “eMunshi- Advocate Diary” Android App for important Court Date, “Aryans Shikara App” to book online Shikara at Dal Lake, “Aryans Ramadan App” to set the alarm for Sehar time and Iftar time etc were launched and applauded at various Government Levels and gained interest of many people.
It is to be mentioned that established in 2007, Aryans campus is located on Chandigarh–Patiala highway, near Chandigarh and has lush green 20 acres pollution free campus. Aryans Group has been serving the educational and intellectual interests of the youth in a commendable manner. Aryans Pharma Students visit North India’s Largest Pharma Expo in Chandigarh
Today Aryans Group of colleges arranged educational trip for their Pharmacy students in North India’s largest Pharma and Lab Tech Expo at Sector 17, Chandigarh. Aryans students of B. Pharma & D Pharma with Dr. Krishan Kumar, Principal & Mrs Kalindi Madaan HoD visited over 200 Pharmaceutical company’s stalls & learnt latest trend and technologies in the pharmaceuticals, drugs and formulations.
Experts from Pharma companies shared their knowledge with all and the students interacted enthusiastically. Students explored Pharma Manufacturing Equipments, Packaging, Quality Analytics, Tablet coating, Compression Machines, Lab Equipment, Analytical Tools etc.

The Training & Placement Cell of Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh organised a workshop on “The Interview Generating Resume”. Captain Richik Sinha Roy, Internationally Certified Career Counsellor, National University of Singapore Graduate & Indian Army Officer was the expert who has trained over 51,280 job seekers. Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group presided over the session.
Richik while interacting with students said that the economy in India is getting back on track after being hit by COVID-19 for two years, But still, the unemployment rate is high. Haryana recorded the highest unemployment rate in March at 26.7%, followed by Rajasthan and Jammu and Kashmir at 25% each, Bihar at 14.4%, Tripura at 14.1% and West Bengal at 5.6% as per reports, added Richik.
He further highlighted the etiquettes of a good resume and the key areas that we should focus on to make our resume more presentable. An effective resume must contains professional summary, work experience, education, language, software and skills, interests and certification. Make your resume simple but significant,” said Richik.
Finally, he also spoke about how a good resume isn’t built overnight but by participating in maximum skill enhancement workshops and internship opportunities as amply provided by Aryans to the students throughout the duration of study.
Aryans students including Engineering, Law, Pharma, Nursing, Paramedical, Management, B.Ed, Polytechnic picked up the tricks of designing a CV and acing an interview with confidence in this day long workshop. MLA, Ghanaur addresses Aryans students on World Health Day
Health and Education is the top priority of newly formed Bhagwant Maan Government. The Government will not leave any stone unturned to make the basic needs affordable and available to masses. Delhi government has set a benchmark for entire country by starting ‘Mohalla clinics’ and many other initiatives in health sector, said by MLA Ghanaur, Sh. Gurlal Singh while addressing the students and faculty members on “World Health Day” at aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh.
The event was presided over by Dr. Anshu kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group. On the occasion Dr. Rashmi Nasra, Dr. Parveen Kataria, Prof.BS Sidhu, Dr. Garima Thakur, Dr. JK Saini also addressed the audience. S. Gurbhej Singh ,Sarpanch Alampur,S. Manpreet Singh ,Sarpanch Nepra were also present.
Dr. Parveen Kataria while highlighting importance of happiness towards healthy life said that Happiness is the highest form of health”. Happiness will come only when we will be healthy and fit. But today we live in a world where we value things more than people, work more than family, food more than health and status more than life, added Kataria.
Dr. Nasra said that Ideal health includes not just physical but also mental and social well-being. A person must possess all three if he or she wants to live life to its fullest. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), health is fundamental to human happiness and well-being, she told.
Hundreds of students from Aryans College of Pharmacy and Aryans Institute of Nursing participated in various activities organised on the occasion.






Sargam Society & Aryans organised Lata Mangeshkar Memorial Night at Tagore Theatre
A three days musical program organized by Sargam Society of Indian Music and Art (Regd.), Mohali & Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh was concluded in Tagore Mini Theatre, Sector 18, Chandigarh. The third day ended with a musical tribute to legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar Ji. The versions of songs sung by Lata and her duets with other male singers reverberated the hall and regaled the audience. On the occasion, Shri Manmohan Singh; Patron Society, Manmohan Garg; MP Gupta, Advisor to the Society; RD Kailey, Organiser & other office bearers were present beside many dignitaries amongst the audience.President Society, Dr. Kataria thanked everyone.
The mood was set from the very first song “Tumhin Mere Mandir” & “Agar Mujhse Mohabbat Hai” sung by Dr Komal Chugh in her rich soulful voice followed by a duet “Yoon Hi Tum Mujhse” sung by two promising singers Rajbir and Suman. Sushil Nagpal and Babita reproduced a golden era hit “Ek Tera Saath Hamko” received a good applause.
The youngest budding artist Nitya Aggarwal surprised the audience with her rendition of “Ye Samaa”. The two popular faces BD Sharma and Pushpa Saxena beautifully doled out “Rimjhim Ke Geet”. Neeru Khattar sang the melodious “Maayi Ri Main”. Other singers were equally worthy of appreciation when they sang “Bachpan Ki Mohabbat” (Garima Jindal); “Kitna Pyara Waada” (Tarsem and Babita); “Jhilmil Sitaron Ka” (Sushil Nagpal & Priya Marwaha); “Ik Pyar Ka Nagma” (Dr .Sonika Chugh); “Tujhe Jeevan Ki Dor Se” (BD Sharma and Sucheta Mukhopadhaya); “Dil Tera Diwana” (Abhijit and Suman); “Chhup Gaye Taare” (Rajbir & Sucheta) and lastly “Ham Tere Pyar Mein” by Pushpa Saxena. The only exception of male solo song was by RD Kailey who was specially asked to sing “Ye Raat Hai Pyasi” and he did the justice to this song.
