
Seminar on Cyberspace
The District Bar Association and Aryans organized a seminar on cyberspace.
The seminar on ’emerging trends in cyberspace’ was organized jointly by Aryans College of Law, Rajpura, near Chandigarh, and the District Bar Association, Chandigarh. The event’s chief guest was Dr. Anshu Kataria, chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, near Chandigarh. The guest of honor was Bhupinder Rana, secretary, district bar association. The keynote speaker was Dr. Ik Walia, assoc. prof., Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL), Punjab.
Dr. Walia articulated a number of issues and crimes related to cyber technology and explained that in cyberspace, which is continually evolving, the emerging trends are changing the way we interact, communicate and navigate within the digital world. She elaborated on the fact that trends are driven by the developments in technology, changing user behavior and increased connectivity.
Speaking to the delegates, Dr. Anshu Kataria highlighted that because cyberspace is developing so quickly, it inherently also brings forth new vulnerabilities and threats. Keeping current with the latest bahavioural developments in cyber security can help individuals and organizations protect themselves from cyber-attacks, data breaches and a multitude of other online risks. Bhupinder Rana noted that keeping fold with the latest trends in cyberspace applies to businesses as well as individuals looking to improve their professional and personal development. Learning about digital marketing web development and cyber security can open new career opportunities in the industry.
In the valedictory ceremony, adv. Deepak Bajaj, member of the district bar association, highlighted that the trends in cyberspace remind us of how quickly technology is evolving; however, we also need to make sure we do not forget the risks and challenges connected in an ever more digitally dependent society.
