
Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi grants approval to Aryans Institute of Nursing to start B.Sc. Nursing Course
Indian Nursing Council (INC), New Delhi has granted approval to Aryans Institute of Nursing, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh to start B. Sc. Nursing with an intake of 50 seats. The approval has been given to conduct B. Sc. Nursing course from the session 2021-22 vide letter number 18-26/8714-INC/15875 dated 6th Sep, 2021.
Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group said that today, doctors & nurses are on the front lines of the COVID-19 response. Forced to cope up with limited personnel, hospitals nationwide are struggling to provide adequate care for coronavirus patients. As per reports, the Post-COVID net employment change 2018-2030 for health professionals will be a whopping around 112%, added Kataria.
He further added that the ratio of nurses to the population is very low, as per norms set by the World Health Organization (WHO). The nurse to population ratio is 1:670 against the norm of 1:300, as per the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW). Keeping in view, this course has been started in Aryans as the demand for nursing professionals in post Covid-19 scenario is projected to increase in the coming years, he explained.
It is to be mention that Aryans Institute of Nursing is already running GNM & ANM approved from Punjab Government & Punjab Nurses Registration Council (PNRC), Mohali while Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot has given affiliation to the institute to start B. Sc. Nursing course.

Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi Sanctions 100 more B. Pharmacy seats to Aryans
Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi has granted approval for 100 more seats in B. Pharmacy for Aryans Pharmacy College, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh Vide notification No. 1302: PB-110/2021- 2022, 112 C, dated 27th June, 2021. On the other hand, Maharaja Ranjeet Singh Punjab Technical University, Bathinda has also given its affiliation for 100 more seats of B. Pharmacy.
Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group said that the Pharmacy profession has remained a trusted profession for the healthcare needs of people. Now the role of pharmacists will be more after this pandemic. The Covid-19 pandemic has exposed the fragile healthcare system of the country. It has put the focus back on multiple challenges being faced by the health sector. There has always been a shortage of pharma professionals.
He further added that this crisis has served to highlight how vital healthcare workers are? Keeping in view, more B. Pharma seats have been added as the demand for Pharma professionals will not disappear in post Covid-19 scenario but is projected to increase in the coming years in both Government as well as Private sectors, added kataria.
It is to be mentioned that Aryans College of Pharmacy is already offering 100 seats in B. Pharma & 60 seats in D. Pharma. Now, with the fresh sanction, 100 more students will be able to secure their seats in B. Pharmacy.

Fortis Cardiologist interacted with Aryans Nursing students on World Heart Day
On the occasion of World Heart Day, to raise awareness about cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) Aryans Institute of Nursing, Rajpura, and Near Chandigarh organized a webinar on this year theme “Use Heart to connect”. Dr. Ankur Ahuja, Senior Consultant, Cardiac Sciences, Fortis Hospital, Mohali interacted with faculty members & the Aryans students of B. Sc. Nursing, GNM, ANM, B. Pharma & D. Pharma. Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group presided over the webinar.
Dr Ahuja while interacting said that CVDs affects the heart and blood vessels which supply blood to lungs, brain, kidneys and other parts of the body & are the most common cause of death globally. They include diseases which are associated with lifestyle choices such as an unhealthy diet, physical inactivity, tobacco use and excessive use of alcohol, and therefore are preventable to some extent, he explained.
Ahuja further said that In India, the prevalence of CVDs is estimated to be around 54.5 million. CVD is killing 17.5 million people a year and over 23 million predicted deaths from CVDs by 2030. About 80 per cent of all CVDs manifest themselves as heart attacks or strokes and 75 per cent cases come from low and middle-income countries, he added.
He told that any sign of a heart trouble should be taken seriously as it is linked to your longevity and survival. It is important to eat right, exercise, stay away from smoking and alcohol and avoid junk food to avoid getting heart diseases, stressed Ahuja.

Dr. Medhi while interacting said that Pharmacy profession has remained a trusted profession for the healthcare needs of people. Now the role of pharmacists will be more after this pandemic. Dr. Garg highlighted that modern sciences like artificial intelligence (AI) can contribute a lot of opportunities for business transformation in Pharma industry. AI has brought a radical shift in the pharma industry’s innovation paradigm, added Garg.
Dr. Deshmukh said that India Pharmaceutical Industry is one of the best developed and fastest growing market that produces about 20 % of the world’s drugs. Armed with new technologies this sector will bring the new generation of pharmaceutical scientists. Dr. Juneja while giving more information said that Pharmacists have an opportunity to educate the community regarding the risks and benefits of vaccines, provide information about safety and efficacy, explain the benefits.
Mr. Singh said that Indian pharmaceutical sector supplies over 50% of global demand for various vaccines. Globally, India ranks 3rd in terms of pharmaceutical production. The domestic pharmaceutical industry includes a network of 3,000 drug companies and around 10,500 manufacturing units.

Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura near Chandigarh congratulated Bhagwant Mann on his massive victory in the elections. Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges said that Bhagwant Mann had talked about the improvement of education and health from the very beginning and hopefully the upcoming government of Mann will bring new dawn in the field of education.
It is worth mentioning that Aryans Group and Bhagwant Mann have a 15-year old bonding. Mann has been a part of various programs of Aryans for the last 15 years, no matter what position he held.
It is also to be mentioned here that last 3-4 years back when Mann visited Aryans campus, he expressed happiness while addressing students and said that when he came to Aryans campus for the first time in 2007, Aryans was a small campus and today it has transformed into very big campus.

Kataria while congratulating said that Sharma is a sincere, hardworking, innovative and visionary person. His achievements have been synonymous with his professional life and the disciplined and dedicated approach coupled with the ownership of the responsibilities given to him.
It is to be mentioned that Sharma was working as the Director of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. Born in 1973 in Bhambhewa, Jind, Anand has completed his post graduation in Chemistry.
