
Concepts and Objectives of SARFAESI Act-2002 discussed in Aryans

Aryans College of Law, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh organized a webinar on “An outline introduction to Sarfaesi Act, 2002”. Ms. Bhagyashri Setia, Advocate, Punjab & Haryana High Court, Chandigarh interacted with the students of LL.B & BA-LL.B. Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges presided over the event.
Setia while interacting with students said that the Securitization and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Securities Interest Act, 2002, also known as the SARFAESI Act. It allows banks and other financial institution to auction residential or commercial properties to recover loans. The first asset reconstruction company (ARC) of India, ARCIL, was set up under this act, added Setia.
She further said that under this act secured creditors have much right for enforcement of security interest under section 13 of this act. If borrower of financial assistance makes any default in repayment of loan or any instalment and his account is classified as non performing Asset by secured creditor, then secured creditor may require before expiry of period of 60 days to discharge their liability or pay off their debt by written notice, explained Setia.
While answering the questions she said that the Act grants the powers of seizure to banks. Under these provisions, the banks may issue notices in writing to the defaulting borrower insisting the discharge of its liabilities within 60 days. The provisions of this Act apply to outstanding loans (above Rs. 1 lakh), which are classified as Non-Performing Assets (NPA), she said.

National Nutrition Week concluded in Aryans

To make everyone understand the importance of nutrition to maintain a healthy lifestyle, Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh organized various activities on National Nutrition Week on the theme “Feeding Smart Right From Start’”. Dt. Harpreet Kaur Ghai, Ayurvedic and Clinical Nutritionist & Dt. Sonia Adlakha, Vedique Nutrition expert interacted with the Aryans students of Nursing, Pharmacy, Law, Engineering, Management, B.Ed and Agriculture. Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group presided over the event.
Dt. Kaur while interacting said that food and nutrition are mandatory for overall physical and mental health and ever since the pandemic has wreaked havoc, awareness about healthy food and nutrition has started to spread in every nook and corner. A nutritious diet is essential for a healthy mind and body, stressed Kaur.
Dt. Sonia said that a balanced diet nourishes the body from top to toe, in and out. It is that component that keeps all bodily functions in check and maintains the cycle of wellbeing. To remain fit and healthy, one has to ensure to eat protein enriched diet. They have to make to eat the right thing to avoid health issues and deficiencies, she explained.
It is to be mentioned that the National Nutrition Week is observed in India from September 1 to September 7 to create awareness about good nutrition and health. On this occasion, a declamation contest was organized & Aryans students including Rupali Kaundal, Ushandeep kaur, Abhishek Jaiswal, Rahul, Arti etc. participated enthusiastically.

Punjab Technical University Permits Aryans to start Paramedical Courses

IK Gujral Punjab technical University, Jalandhar has granted approval to Aryans Institute of Nursing, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh to start various UGC approved Paramedical Courses with 30 seats each including Cardiac Care, Operation Theatre & Medical Technology – Anesthesia from this session (Reference number IKGPTU/Reg./Affl./2328-2335).
Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges said that paramedical science has emerged as important branch of medical science. Today, doctors, nurses & Health Care workers are on the front lines of the COVID-19 response. Forced to cope up with limited personnel, hospitals nationwide are struggling to provide adequate care for corona virus patients.
He further added that this crisis has served to highlight how vital healthcare workers are? Keeping in view, new paramedical courses have been started in Aryans as the demand for healthcare professionals will not disappear in post Covid-19 scenario but is projected to increase in the coming years in both Government as well as Private sectors, added kataria.
It is to be mention that Aryans Institute of Nursing is already running B. Sc. Nursing, GNM & ANM approved from Punjab Government & affiliated to Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot & Punjab Nurses Registration Council (PNRC), Mohali, respectively.

A webinar on Robotics & Artificial Intelligence held at Aryans
To highlight the future aspects of Robotics & Artificial Intelligence, a webinar on industrial application of Robotics was held at Aryans College of Engineering, Rajpura Near Chandigarh. Er. Vikas Kapil, Plant Head, Royal Enfield, Chennai interacted with the Aryans students Engineering & Polytechnic. Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group presided over the event.
Vikas while interacting with students said that the main era of artificial intelligence, robotic research and development was the mid-20th century. Robots were mainly employed for tasks that were too dirty, distant or dangerous for humans. Nowadays, Robotic interventions are being introduced and well-accepted as a smarter tool in healthcare too, he said.
He further told that the goal of robotics is to design machines that can help and assist humans. Though relatively young, the robotics industry is filled with an admirable promise of progress that science fiction could once only dream about. From the deepest depths of our oceans to thousands of miles in outer space, robots will be found performing tasks that humans couldn’t dream of achieving alone, explained Vikas.
While highlighting the future aspects of Robotics he said that in the near future, thanks to advances in these technologies, robots will continue getting smarter and more energy efficient. They will take on more difficult challenges and will help to secure global supply chains, he said.

Patiala Forest Department celebrates 71st Forest Festival “Van mahotsav” at Aryans
Considering many fold benefits of trees & to celebrate 71st Van Mahotsav Day, a tree plantation drive was organized at Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh under the initiative of Punjab Government. Over 400 saplings of fruits & medicinal plants were provided by the Forest and Wildlife Protection Department, Patiala & were also planted during this Drive at Aryans Campus. Ms. Vidya Sagari, IFS, District Forest Officer inaugurated the drive. Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group presided on the occasion.
Ms. Vidya Sagari while speaking on the occasion said that trees are very important for our life. We cannot even imagine our life without trees. They not only provide us oxygen, but also provide food to eat. Trees play an important role in keeping our environment safe, so we all have an obligation to understand the importance of trees and we should plant more trees.
She further said that the under the initiative of State Government, Forest Department is working to make Patiala clean and green and urged everyone to plant trees on vacant land. She further added that if any school, college, panchayat and NGOs need help for plantation, then the department will definitely help them in conducting tree plantation drives, she added.
Dr. Anshu Kataria while speaking said that trees not only give us shade and fruit but also make the surroundings and premises beautiful. Kataria also mentioned about the environmental problems caused by the deforestation. He appealed everyone to actively participate in tree plantation drives so that Punjab can be made clean, green and pollution free, he added.

Kumar while interacting said that the agriculture is backbone of rural economy. Agriculture in India has made significant growth and we are on the path of second green revolution through modern agricultural technology. For sustainable agriculture, a good quality seed is the most basic and essential input. Agriculture in India is backed by a strong seed improvement programme involving both the public and private sectors and is well recognized internationally, explained Kumar.
He further added that seeds play a fundamental role in meeting the triple challenge of improving food security and nutrition, supporting the livelihoods of farmers and rural communities, and contributing to sustainable resource use and climate change adaptation and mitigation. The seed sector directly influences three dimensions of food security and nutrition: food availability, access, and stability, he told.
While answering students questions he explained that The seed sector contributes to food security and nutrition through productivity growth, improved resilience and quality improvement, allowing a greater availability of nutritious food at lower prices. Greater percentage of improvement in agricultural production has come from the use of improved seeds, but seeds of new varieties must be made available to the farmers in adequate quantity and quality and at affordable prices, and on time, stressed Kumar.
