Supreme Court gives relief to All India Colleges on PUCA Petition
Mohali, October 13th
The Supreme Court has today permitted All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi to permit admissions in technical colleges across the country till October 30th.
Earlier the date was 15th September and Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh etc were given relief in the cut off dates of admission by the Supreme Court.
In a petition filed by Dr. Anshu Kataria, President, Punjab Unaided CollegesAssociation- Punjab Unaided Technical Institutions Association (PUCA-PUTIA) and Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh the Bench of Justices Sh. BR Gavai & Sh. Prashant Mishra have permitted admissions till 30th October.
This would give relief to lakhs of students who were seeking admissions in approx 11000 technical colleges across the nation.
Adv Siddharth R Gupta appeared in the Supreme court on behalf of PUCA and submitted that students of Punjab were affected by floods during admissions days & North East students could not secure their seats due to ongoing disturbance.

With dengue fever cases rising across the region, the district public health department has intensified preventive measures. Regarding this, an awareness drive was organized at Community Health Centre, Kalomajra where B.Sc. Nursing, GNM & ANM students participated.
Dr. Ravinder kaur (senior surgeon), Kalomajra said that With dengue cases rising here, the state government is gearing up to tackle the disease with a multi-pronged strategy. The health department is taking all the required measures to curb the disease. People should know that the aedes aegypti mosquito breeds in stagnant water. The teams are visiting houses and even organizing area-wise campaigns, she added.
Kaur said that a major challenge that’s limiting our efforts is the lack of awareness among people about preventive measures. They casually throw away ice-cream cups, curd containers or coconuts. They never think rainwater can accumulate in them and become a breeding ground for mosquitoes.
Aryans Nursing students participated in this awareness camp as well as a speech & poster presentation was also organized.

Indian Nursing Council (INC), New Delhi has granted approval to Aryans Institute of Nursing, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh to start Post Basic B. Sc. Nursing with an intake of 20 seats. The approval has been given to conduct B. Sc. Nursing course from the session 2023-24.
Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group said that today, doctors & nurses are on the front lines. As per reports, the post-COVID net employment change 2018-2030 for health professionals will be a whopping around 112%. The nurse to population ratio is 1:670 against the norm of 1:300, as per the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), added Kataria.
Mrs. Nidhi Chopra, Principal, Aryans Institute of Nursing further added that the ratio of nurses to the population is very low, as per norms set by the World Health Organization (WHO). Keeping in view, this course has been started in Aryans as the demand for nursing professionals is projected to increase in the coming years, she explained. The JK Students of Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh organised a party to celebrate Eid-e-Milad. Hundreds of B.Tech, MBA, Nursing, Pharma, Paramedical, Law, BBA, BCA and Polytechnic Diploma students of Aryans Group participated. The students were distributed boxes containing Biryani, dates, Bananas, Feerini, sweets etc. A prayer was also organised on the occasion.
While talking on the occasion, Er. Shahid, Faculty, Aryans Group said that majority of students studying in Aryans are from the valley. He added that earlier also, the JK students of Aryans celebrated Eid in a full swing with staff and management at Aryans campus. Aryans Students took the lead in organizing the celebrations and actively participated in it.

Most Sufis and Barelvis observe the occasion in Rabi al-Awwal, the third month of the Islamic calendar. Eid-e-Milad is observed by Sunni Muslims on the 12th day of Rabi’ al-awwal, while Shia Muslims observe it on the 17th day of Rabi’ al-awwal, according to the Gregorian calendar, which is based on the sighting of the crescent moon. People do charity and stories of Muhammad are narrated.

A delegation of Nursing Training Institute Association Punjab under the leadership of President, Nursing Association, S. Gurdayal Singh Buttar met President, Indian Nursing Council, Sh. T Dileep Kumar & urged to permit direct admission of students in various nursing courses.
While giving this information to media Dr. Anshu Kataria, President, Punjab Unaided Colleges Association (PUCA) & Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh said that the delegation demanded to permit direct admission to students in Punjab as thousands of students could not appear in Punjab Paramedical Entrance Test (PPMET) conducted by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot.
He added said that across Punjab State there are 7108 seats in ANM, 12065 Seats in GNM, 5320 in B. Sc. Nursing, 3130 in Post Basic B. Sc. Nursing & 639 seats in Msc. Nursing. Different states including Punjab Himachal, Haryana, Manipur have faced worse ever situation in last 3 months. Due to the situation of floods in Punjab around 40% of the students were deprived of giving the entrance test of Baba Farid University of Health Sciences. Because of this many students could not apply for the entrance test & which can ruin their precious year and may put their career on stake. Keeping this point in mind, the direct admission should be permitted, Kataria mentionmed.

Aryans BALLB Students shine in Punjabi University Patiala Results

Law students of Aryans College of Law, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh, brought laurels to the college in the examinations conducted by Punjabi University, Patiala.
In BALLB, 3rd semester examination, Himanshu bagged 1st position with 77.2%, Naresh bagged 2nd position with 73% respectively and Gagandeep bagged 3rd position with 71% marks.
Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group congratulated the students and faculty for the hard work. He said that Aryans students are doing well not only in academics but in sports, innovations, cultural also. Such excellent results by the students add more name and fame to the College, added Kataria.
It is to be mentioned that Aryans was the only Law College in the region to be associated with Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) in the years 2019, 2020 and 2021.For the first time, Pearson VUE on behalf of Law School Admission Council (LSAC) has made Aryans College of Law the Exam Centre for Law School Admission Test (LSAT). The score of the test is being used by famous law schools of America & Canada i.eHarward, Yale, Stanford University, British Columbia, Chicago etc.

Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh organised a workshop on “Importance of IPR in Academic Research″. Mrs Pooja Kumar, Women Entrepreneur, Founder Director; Innove Intellects, Patent agent, Govt. of India interacted with the faculty members & Aryans students of Engineering, Nursing, Pharmacy, Law, Management, Education and Agriculture.
Pooja educated the students on the importance of intellectual property management in academic and research institutes. They described different types of IPRs, trademarks, copyrights, designs, patents and trade secrets. She exhorted young researchers to apply for the patent registration of their research innovations before publishing it in any research journal.
Pooja said, “Patents not only provide legal protection to researcher’s innovation but also give an opportunity for exclusive commercial use of that innovation for a limited time period. It is important to use the right language and full disclosure of information while filing a patent and other IPRs.”

In past, many innovations done by Aryans students including “Aryans Solar Boat” that can run through solar energy, “Aryans Android App” to make campuses paper free, “Aryans Save Kashmir App” for the rescue operation at the time of floods in Kashmir, “Aryans Life Saving Glove” to provide timely assistance to the people prone to the risk of cardiac disease, “Aryans Safety Helmet” to provide timely first aid at construction/ mining/ industrial sites, “eMunshi- Advocate Diary” Android App for important Court Date, “Aryans Shikara App” to book online Shikara at Dal Lake, “Aryans Ramadan App” to set the alarm for Sehar time and Iftar time etc were launched and applauded at various Government Levels and gained interest of many people.

Paramedical Students of Aryans Institute of Management & Technology (AIMT), Rajpura, Near Chandigarh brought laurels by giving their excellent performance in the Final Examinations.
In Bilal Ahmed bagged 1st position by scoring 8.28 SGPA in B. Sc. Cardiac Care; Ishan Manhas bagged 2nd position by scoring 8.24 SGPA in Cardiac Care; and Abdul Majid bagged 3rd position by scoring 8.16 SGPA, B. Sc. Medical Lab Science in their 2nd semester exams conducted IKG-PTU, Jalandhar.
Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group congratulated the students and faculty for their hard work done.
