
National Cancer Awareness Day
Aryans Institute of Nursing Organized a speech, poster contest & skit on this occasion
As a step towards spreading awareness about cancer among students and to create solidarity in the fight against cancer, the aryans institute of nursing, rajpura, near Chandigarh observed ‘national cancer awareness day’ today. B. Sc: Nurses, GNMs, and ANMs of different departments united themselves to observe this day by conducting various activities on the theme of ‘hope, love, and strength: our weapons against cancer’.
A speech competition was organized on this day, all the students dressed in white attire and a lavender badge to identify the theme of the day, which was unique. Students debated various subjects pertaining to health and hygiene, stressing that prevention is the best approach. They stressed that early detection is the key to taking timely treatment, which further enhances the prospects of recovery and survival.
Smt Kamlesh Rani, Vice Principal, Aryans Institute of Nursing, encouraged and inspired students to inculcate a proactive and positive attitude in their battle against cancer. November 7th is noted as national cancer awareness day with an aim to spread awareness regarding cancer prevention, early detection, and treatment.
