Dr Anshu Kataria, Chairman Aryans Group graced HP Mahasabha event in Chandigarh

Himachal Mahasabha (Regd.), Chandigarh celebrated its Annual Function, Himachal Day, and Vikrami Samvat at Ramlila Ground in Chandigarh with great enthusiasm and cultural fervour.

Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges and President, Punjab Unaided Colleges Association (PUCA), graced the occasion as Chief Guest and inaugurated the cultural programme by lighting the ceremonial lamp. The event began with Hawan, Poojan, and Aarti led by President, HP Mahasabha Prithi Singh Prajapati along with the executive members.

Prominent members present included Sh. Bhagirath Sharma (General Secretary – Admin), Sh. Sachin Raizada (General Secretary – Operations), Sh. D.R. Chaudhary (Finance Secretary), Sh. Rakesh Barotya (Executive Member), Sh. Sanjeev Kumar (Executive Member), Sh. Ramesh Sahore (Executive Member) Himachal Mahasabha, Chandigarh along with representatives from various Himachali organisations.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Anshu Kataria announced a landmark initiative of 100% free admission for 50 SC/ST students from Himachal Pradesh at Aryans Group of Colleges, to be nominated by Himachal Mahasabha. He emphasized that Aryans remains deeply committed to empowering underprivileged youth through quality education, adding that this step aims to bridge opportunity gaps and enable deserving students to build a brighter, self-reliant future.

Speaking on the occasion, Prithi Singh Prajapati expressed gratitude to the Chief Guest and appreciated Aryans Group’s initiative, stating that it will create significant educational opportunities for deserving students from Himachal Pradesh.

The cultural programme featured vibrant performances by singer Vijay Ratan Modgil and other Himachali artists. A special attraction was a performance by young artist Aashvi Dhiman, who captivated the audience with her talent.

Thousands of guests from regions including Kalka, Ropar, Derabassi, Mohali, and Chandigarh attended the event in large numbers. A traditional Himachali Dham was served, giving attendees an authentic cultural experience.
