Saksham Scholarship Scheme
For Specially Abled Students (By AICTE & MHRD) Saksham is an initiative by the Ministry of Education (MHRD), implemented by AICTE, to encourage and support specially abled students in pursuing technical education. It empowers them to build a better future through equal learning opportunities.
Key Features of the Scheme
Total Scholarships:
1000 per year
500 for Degree courses
500 for Diploma courses
Transferable Quota:
Scholarships can shift between Degree and Diploma programs if seats remain unfilled in either category.

Eligibility Criteria
Must be admitted to 1st year of Degree/Diploma through a Central/State Government centralized admission process.
Must be enrolled in an AICTE-approved institution.
Disability Criteria:
Must have disability of at least 40%.
Family income should be less than ₹8 lakh/annum from the previous financial year.
(For married girls, higher income between parents and in-laws will be considered.)
Scholarship Amount
Tuition Fee:
₹30,000/- or actual fee (whichever is lower)Incidental Charges:
₹2,000/- per month × 10 months = ₹20,000/- per yearIf Tuition Fee is Waived/Reimbursed:
