AICTE–PG Scholarship Scheme
Overview
The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, has launched the Post Graduate (PG) Scholarship Scheme to promote quality education and research in technical fields. This scheme is exclusively for GATE/GPAT qualified students who wish to pursue full-time postgraduate programs such as:
Master of Engineering (M.E.)
Master of Technology (M.Tech.)
Master of Architecture (M.Arch.)
Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm.)
These programs must be in AICTE-approved institutions or university departments.

Scholarship Amount & Benefits
Eligible students will receive a monthly stipend of ₹12,400/- to support their education-related expenses.
This amount is intended to:
Reduce the financial burden on students.
Promote higher education among meritorious students.
Encourage student involvement in teaching, research, and academic development.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for this scholarship, a student must:
Have a valid GATE/GPAT score at the time of admission.
Be enrolled full-time in an AICTE-approved PG course.
Not be receiving any other scholarship, salary, stipend, or financial assistance from any source.
Be an Indian citizen.
(Foreign nationals, sponsored candidates, and students admitted through management quota are not eligible.)Not be availing the scholarship for the second time based on re-qualification in GATE/GPAT.
Academic & Teaching Work Requirement
Scholarship holders must engage in 8 to 10 hours/week of academic work such as:
Lab classes
Tutorials
Research assistance
Library/Computer center assistance
Duration & Disbursement
Scholarship is tenable for 24 months or until course completion, whichever is earlier.
Paid monthly, subject to:
Satisfactory academic performance
Completion of assigned teaching/research work
Institute/University compliance
Important Guidelines
Leaving the course mid-way? You must refund the entire amount of scholarship received.
Misconduct (e.g., ragging, misbehavior) will lead to immediate discontinuation of the scholarship.
Leave entitlement:
Casual Leave: 15 days/year
Medical Leave: Max 30 days/year
Maternity Leave: As per Govt. of India norms
Claims & Policy
Late claims (after 1 year of course completion) will not be entertained.
All disbursement policies are governed by AICTE guidelines, as published on their official website or in national dailies.
