National Vaccination Day celebrated at Aryans
To emphasize the significance of vaccines and their contribution to public health, a national vaccination day was commemorated by Aryans College of Pharmacy and Aryans Institute of Nursing, located near Chandigarh. This year’s theme is about ensuring access to vaccines for all people. Dr. Anshu Kataria, the chairman of the Aryans Group, led the event.
Thakur mentioned that the primary objective of this day is to raise awareness among the general public about the efficacy of vaccines in combating deadly diseases. The initial administration of the oral polio vaccine took place in India in 1995. It was the same year that March 16 was designated as National Vaccine Day or Immunization Day, he emphasized.
Thakur mentioned that India has made significant progress in boosting routine vaccinations through more intensive vaccination drives. This day also recognizes and expresses gratitude for the tireless efforts of frontline healthcare workers in ensuring the vaccination of every child, said thakur.
