
Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital Organizes A Workshop At Aryans
A week long celebrations for International Nurses Day started at Aryans Institute of Nursing
One day seminar-cum-demonstration on infection prevention & control education program was conducted by aryans institute of nursing, rajpura, near chandigarh in collaboration with homi bhabha cancer hospital, mullanpur, mohali at aryans campus. Ms Sneha, infection control nurse from Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital, was the chief guest at the event. S. Ms jean mexima, principal, silver oaks college of nursing, mohali and ms rajinder kaur, principal, sri guru harkishan sahib college of nursing, mohali were guests of honor. Dr. Anshu kataria, chairman aryans group was in command. Ms. Sneha defined infection prevention and control (ipc) as a pragmatic area that affects the entire patient care in healthcare facilities. Prevention of antimicrobial resistance (amr) falls under ipc and is an important component of health care quality and patient safety. Infection prevention and control is a pragmatic sub-field of epidemiology that can be applied to all health workers and patients at all healthcare visits.
Jeen mexima & rajinder kaur stated that infection prevention and control (ipc) is a science that focuses on preventing healthcare-associated infections (hais) and minimizing the risk of microorganisms transmission to patients, health workers, and visitors. Ipc is based on epidemiology principles, infectious disease, social science, and health system strengthening.
