The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2021 will be conducted on 23rd July, 2021 in offline mode. The exam will be conducted by National Law School of India University, Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru for the admission in year 2020-21 in 22 National law universities (NLUs) and around 40 affiliated Law colleges & Universities in India.
Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans College of Law, Rajpura Near Chandigarh said that Aryans College of Law is the first College in Punjab which has now also become part of those top Universities and Colleges of Legal Studies to use CLAT Score for the admissions in LL.B. (3 Years) and BA-LL.B. (5 Years) program.
Kataria thanked the CLAT committee for making Aryans the part of CLAT & permitting to use CLAT Score for its admissions. Kataria further thanked the students and staff for taking the law college to such a top position in short span of time with their efforts made in academics, innovations etc.
Kataria further added that in North India, Chandigarh has emerged out as the most preferred destination for the students of Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, J&K etc.
CLAT, 2021 Eligibility Criteria:
For undergraduate programme (five-year Integrated Law Degree), an applicant must be a pass in 10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum of a 45% marks for all categories except for SC/ST categories in which case the applicant needs to have 40% marks. There shall be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer for both UG & PG.
For post-graduate programme (one year LLM degree), an applicant must have LLB degree with at least 55% marks. Candidates belonging to SC/ST categories need to have 50% marks in LLB degree. Candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination in March/April/May 2020 are also eligible to apply.
