
Inauguration of AICTE- MRSPTU sponsored six days faculty development program held at Aryans
With the aim of developing the pedagogical and research skills of various faculty members, a 6 days All India Council of Technical Education, New Delhi (AICTE) & Maharaja Ranjeet Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), Bathinda sponsored online faculty development program on “Advances in Pharmaceutical Research” was organized by Aryans College of Pharmacy, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh. Dr. Bhupinder Singh Bhoop, Professor, University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Panjab University, Chandigarh was the Chief Guest & Dr. Ashish Baldi, Dean, R&D, MRSPTU, Bathinda was Guest of Honor of the inaugural ceremony. Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group presided over the program. Hundreds of faculty from various pharmacy colleges across nation registered as participants.
Dr. Bhoop while addressing said that the time has changed pharmacy into a multidisciplinary subject with core research domains, including pharmacognosy, pharmaceutical biotechnology, pharmaceutical analysis, pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacology and pharmaceutics. Dr. Baldi said that over the years, pharmaceutical scientists have been instrumental in discovering and developing innovative drugs that save thousands of people’s lives and improve the quality of life. Now the research has moved to the next-generation era of drug discovery, he highlighted.
In this program various pharma experts including Dr. Bikash Medhi, Professor, Pharmacology, Post Graduate Institute of Medical Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, Dr. Shivani Juneja Bedi, Head, Clinical Pharmacology, Fortis Hospital, Mohali, Dr. Raj Kumar, Professor, Medicinal Chemistry, Central University of Punjab, Bathinda, Dr. Sushma Singh, Faculty, National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (NIPER), Mohali, Dr. Gurpreet Kaur; Dr. Richa Shri, Professor, Pharmaceutical Sciences & Drug Research, Punjabi University, Patiala etc. would interact with the registered faculty members.

Aryans engineering students bags gold medals in IKGPTU merit list
In the recently released merit list of IKGPTU, Jalandhar, the Students of Aryans College of Engineering, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh have brought laurels to their institution by bagging two gold medals and securing four positions in the merit list.
As per university merit list the gold medal & 1st position was bagged by Mr. Sameer Javaid from B.Tech Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE) from 2014-2018 batch securing 84.92% marks while another gold medal & 1st position was bagged by Mr. Amandeep Singh from B.Tech EEE, LEET (2014-2017 batch) & secured 82.26% marks. The 2nd & 4th positions were bagged by Mr. Imtiyaz Ahmad Shah securing 84.58% marks & Mr. Shahid Ul Islam securing 83.52% marks respectively from B.Tech Civil Engineering (2012-2016 batch).
Dr. J.K. Saini, Diector, Aryans College of Engineering congratulated the students and faculty for the continuous efforts and hard work done. He said that the passion and commitment of all teachers to their role as educators is the primary reason for the outstanding academic performance of the college over the years.

Aryans organizes Legal Aid Awareness Camp on National Consumer Day
To highlight the importance of consumer rights and to focus on the need to spread awareness about consumer importance and responsibilities, Aryans College of Law, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh organized Legal Aid Awareness Camp on National Consumer Day in nearby villages & the population was detailed about Voting Rights for Women, Fundamental Rights, participation in Panchayats, Marriage Law, Law on Divorce & Maintenance, Law against Domestic Violence, Dowry Prohibition and Female Foeticide. Mrs. Sukhman Bath, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, District Bureau of employment and enterprises, Patiala, Govt. of Punjab was the Guest of Honour. The camp was organized under the leadership of Prof BS Sidhu, Director, Aryans Group.
On the completion of camp while addressing & encouraging the law students in Aryans Campus, Mrs. Bath said that such awareness camp always impart practical knowledge about the basic legal rights and remedies provided under various women related laws & various machineries of the Justice delivery system available for redressal of their grievances. Consumers have been now empowered & has also brought changes in the process by which consumer complaints are dealt with, added Bath.
Prof BS Sidhu, Director, Aryans Group said that Legal literacy camp platforms act as catalysts to help everyone to engage constructively with the government and access their basic rights and entitlements, women’s empowerment which are key for their survival and well-being. Aryans law students being a part of this awareness camps were exposed to practical knowledge which is a must for budding lawyers.
It is to be mentioned that December 24 is celebrated annually in India as National Consumer Rights Day to commemorate December 24, 1986, when the Consumer Protection Act received assent of the President of India. The students from LLB & BA. Lt Governor, Jammu & Kashmir, Sh. Manoj Sinha, launched a unique ‘Happiness’ app titled “Your One Life-YOL” approved by All India Council Of Technical Education ( AICTE), New Delhi, developed by the founding team of Sh. Yogesh Kochhar and Sh. Anoop Bansal and their company Royster Resources. Prof. (Dr.) Anil D. Sahasrabudhe, Chairman, AICTE was Guest of Honour & Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh & President, Federation of Self Financing Technical Institutions (FSFTI), All India was the special guest. The event has been done in association with Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh. The launching was done in Convention Centre, Jammu & attended by more than 500 students of technical education of Jammu & Kashmir and thousands of students studying in various 9000 colleges across country through online mode.
Speaking on the occasion, the Lt Governor pointed out how the young and old remain immersed and in a state of ‘SOAKING’ in the internet, instead of ‘SEEKING’ from the Internet for development. He lauded the technological developments in the Virtual Reality and Artificial Intelligence & equally stressed the need to protect our personal mindshare that gets compromised as it gets herded and hoarded depleting the ability of users to exercise their minds.
Chairman, AICTE, Dr. Anil D Sahasrabudhe while addressing said that by ‘seeking’ in the Internet with a purpose we can build potential but by ‘soaking’ in the Internet we merely become floating food for digital and social media companies. We will be building a unique block chain with all the users and institutions as our ‘partners’ and not mere ‘users’. He pointed that Facebook is valued at 1 Trn USD with approx. with 3 billion ‘USERS’, where each user mind-share is worth approx. USD 400 as part of the 1 Trn for FACEBOOK. While the use of Facebook for most sere yields nothing.
Speaking on the occasion, the founder of the app Sh. Yogesh Kochhar & Sh. Anoop Bansal, Royester, Resources said that this app will redefine ‘USERS’ and ‘USAGE’. It will help to show to the user in fascinating manner, her own ‘MINDMAP’ and ‘MINDSHARE’and enable them to protect it from getting eroded or hoarded. The app maps and manages the user’s stress and happiness levels.

Chief Justice Ansari (Retd.) addresses Aryans Law Students on Human Rights Day
To celebrate Human Rights Day,Aryans College of Law, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh organized a webinar on “Equality, Reducing Inequalities, Advancing Human Rights”. Justice Iqbal Ahmed Ansari, Former Chief justice Patna High Court, Chairperson, Punjab State Human Rights Commission was the keynote speaker. Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group presided over the Webinar.
Justice Ansari while interacting with students explained all 30 articles of Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) chartered on this day in 1948. He also explained History and protection of Human Rights under International Human Rights Law. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights is a milestone document that proclaimed the rights which everyone is entitled to as a human being, regardless of race, colour, religion, sex, language, political opinion, national origin, property, birth or other status. The Declaration sets out universal values and is available in 500 languages, he added.
He further said that this global crisis has been fuelled by deepening of poverty, rising inequalities, structural & entrenched discrimination & other gaps in human rights protection. Only measures to close these gaps and advance human rights can ensure we fully recover to a world that is better and more resilient, just and sustainable.
It is to mention that International Human Rights Day is observed on December 10 annually. The main aim behind celebrating this day is to improve the physical, social, cultural and spiritual well being and welfare of the vulnerable group of people globally. On this Occasion a poster presentation competition was also organised & students participated enthusiastically.

Renowned Punjabi Singer & Actor Ninja enthralled Aryans students on Aryans Founder’s Birthday at Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh. Aryans also celebrated 73rd birthday of its Founder Prof. Roshan Lal Kataria. On the occasion hundreds of Nursing & Pharma students were present.
The event commenced from Lamp Lighting by Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh. The cake cutting ceremony was also organized on the occasion. The stars were honored with mementos.
Ninja, Karan Randhawa, Jay Randhawa, Satbir Aujla, Prince Bhullar, Vada Grewal performed on their famous tracks including “Aadat”, “Roi Na”, “Oh kyu ni jaan sake”, “Dil”, “Oh Jatt”, “Honsla”, Nagni”, “Chunni”, “Tom & Jerry”, “Splendor”, “Jhanjhra” etc.
Above mentioned stars were in Aryans for promotion of their upcoming Punjabi Movie “Kaka Pardhan”. The movie has been directed by Rubal Chinna & produced by KV Dhillon. Kaka Pardhan revolves around two characters that came to the city side to become Gangsters and how they actually ruled over the Gangsters of that city.
