Aryans Celebrates Diwali Festival

Students, staff and management of Aryans Group of Colleges (AGC) celebrated Diwali with much fervor and enthusiasm in the campus today. It was followed by rangoli, lighting of lamps, candles and diyas. The light and colour added to the celebrations. The campus was decorated with flowers. Many cultural and gaming events were also organized for the occasion.
Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group wished all present a very happy and prosperous Diwali. He also made the students aware of theimportance of Pollution Free Diwali and encouraged them to enjoy Diwali in its purest form by lighting lamps, not by playing with firecrackers. The staff and students enjoyed the celebrations wholeheartedly.

To acknowledge the profound impact of radiography on modern medicine, Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh celebrated World Radiography Day on this year theme “Celebrating Patient Safety.” Aryans students of B. Sc. Radiology, Cardiac Care, Anesthesia, Medical Lab Sciences, Nursing etc. participated in face painting & poster presentation activities.
While addressing Ms. Aakriti Chauhan, Co coordinator, Aryans Institute of Nursing & Shaoib, Radiology Department said that this day is dedicated to honoring the field of radiography, acknowledging the crucial contributions of radiographers, and emphasizing the importance of medical imaging in contemporary healthcare. This years theme underscores the vital responsibility of healthcare professionals in upholding the efficiency of healthcare systems and safeguarding the health and safety of patients.
It is to be mentioned that World Radiography Day is observed each year on November 8 to commemorate the discovery of x-radiation by Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen in 1895. On the occasion, Aryans Nursing Faculty Bazila, Nazira, Asma, Diksha, Abrar, Muzmail, Shoiab, Amisha etc. were present.

To apprise the significance of Indian festivals, Aryans group of Colleges, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh celebrated Karwa Chauth with a lot of zeal and enthusiasm today. The Staff from Engineering, Pharmacy, Nursing, Law, Management, Paramedical, Physiotherapy, Education etc participated in various activities organized in the campus.
On this occasion, the activities like thali making, nail-art and mehandi competition were held. The staff participated in the activities enthusiastically and showcased their talent in all these disciplines. All women staff sang songs & danced in groups to make this day more special. Dr. Parveen Kataria, Director General, Aryans Group of colleges congratulated all staff.
It is to mention that this is a most loved festival in India & married Women observe fast on Karva Chauth. The celebrations began early in morning before the sunrise, with women having Sargi after which they don’t have to drink even water till they offer Arghya to the moon. They pray for the prosperous, good health and long life of their husbands.

With respect to Gender Justice & Woman Empowerment, Aryans College of Law, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh organised a Seminar & Speech Competition. Ms Shivpreet Kaur, newly appointed Judicial Officer was the Special Guest & interacted with LLB and BA LLB Students. Dr. Devinder Kumar Singla, Principal, Aryans College of Law was present.
Shivpreet Kaur said that legal profession is the best work of society. To maintain its dignity, all of you should be striving and give the form of the rights of women and their empowerment in the constitution. She said that effective implementation of special provisions provided in Article 14 and the rights of equality contained in Article 15 (3). Urging the girl students, she said that you never considered yourself as dependency on anyone and try to become self-supporting and leading in every field.
Dr. Singla while motivating girls students said that gender discrimination is the main social cause every where but still girls are working hard and are being appointed in many influential positions as compared to men & we all should be proud of that.The students participated enthusiastically in various activities. Dr. Anurag Dhiman, Ms. Navneet Kaur, HOD; Dr.Pritika, Ms Priyanka Bansal, Ms Sanskriti Rana, faculty Aryans College of Law were also present.

Talent Hunt organized by Aryans Group of Colleges

Students of Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh displayed their talent in the Talent Hunt programme organized at Aryans campus. The students of Engineering, Pharmacy, Nursing, Law, Management, Education, Paramedical, Physiotherapy etc. spell bound the audience by exhibiting extraordinary talents. Dr Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group presided over the function.
On the occasion, Renowned Punjabi Singer Gurjazz; & Punjabi actress Hashneen along with entre star cast of Hawa visited Aryans. The webseries “Hawa” is the fusion of horror and comedy, combining the spine-tingling chills of horror with the uproarious laughter of humour by Chaupal. Hawa has been produced and shot in the picturesque landscape of the United Kingdom. Viewers can now watch Hawa on the platform Chaupal. Ajayveer Singh, head of textbooks at Chaupal, said, “It is the first horror-comedy film of Pollywood released on OTT platfprm”, said Program Head, Chaupal Ajayveer Singh
Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group said that the Group would always welcome such gestures of the students and also encourage the students to organize such events more frequently. He further added that such events are necessary in the professional institutions as they instill confidence and sense of responsibility in the students.
In this Talent Hunt, Rubi Das from BA LLB declared winner in Classical dance, Shehnawaz from Pharmacy announced 1st runner up in Martial Art while Deepa from Nursing Got 3rd position in bollywood dancing. Cultural activities were performed by students including Classical dance, Martial Arts, Skit, Giddha, Solo Song, Solo Dance, Collage making, Painting, Rangoli making etc.

A special program “Vishwanaad” under the joint aegis of Pracheen Kala Kendra and Sanskar Bharati, Chandigarh was organized. Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh was the Chief Guest of this occasion. Dr. Parveen Kataria, Director General, Aryans Group; Dr Shobha Koser, Registrar and Sajal Koser, Secretary of the Kendra were also present on the occasion.
Dr. Anshu Kataria while congratulating the entire team of Pracheen Kala Kendra and all participant said that various dance forms gave the feeling of the whole world being one family, called for world peace in which the students from different countries along with Indian students added charm to the program with their performances.
Dr Shobha Koser and Sajal Koser said that the message of dance ballet was that co-existence of innumerous cultures, societies and nations in the universe is world known and experience of cohesion and coercion within this diversity is inevitable too.
Vishwanaad featuring about 20 local and foreign students of the Kendra who are taking intense learning of Indian Classical Dance and music under ancient Guru Shishya parampara. In the program Kazakhstan’s duet dance was presented by Arina and Araye, followed by Ramona of Romania presenting Romanian dances like Chhulia, Andra, Maramures and Batuta. Thereafter, a beautiful presentation of Kore Kore dance from the remote area of Zimbawe was presented by Glendale with rhythm and beats. A dance performance celebrating life with the music of Dafli was presented by Pinky, Madhavi and Ishika in Persian dance form which was highly appreciated & enthralled the audience.

Renowned Law Professor, Dr. Devinder Kumar Singla recently joined as Principal at Aryans College of Law, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh. The college offers 3 years LLB & 5 years BA.LLB courses which are approved by Bar Council of India, New Delhi & affiliated with Punjabi University, Patiala.
Dr. Singla has earned name in legal field as well as in teaching during his experience of last 34 years. Dr. Singla said, “I am happy and excited to work in Aryans College of Law wherein, the students possess an innovative approach in the law education which is transforming day by day and need polishing their skills to emerge as better legal professionals” Said Singla.
Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group while welcoming him said that the entire Law faculty & the students are very excited to work under the guidance of renowned Dr. Singla. I am sure that he will broaden the opportunity to learn & will provide law students with a comprehensive understanding of the legal system. It is to be mentioned that Dr. Singla has done Ph.D. in Law from Punjabi University Patiala and. He has guided more than 35 LLM students & 4 in Doctorate research. Singla also has academic & research experience of more than 34 years. He has published various research papers, attended workshops & conferences at national & international levels. He has also published books. He is a life member of various law societies.

Indian Nursing Council has relaxed the criteria for the admission in Nursing Courses for Punjab State.
Giving this information to the press, Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh & President, Punjab Unaided Colleges Association (PUCA) said that a delegation of Nursing Association met Dr. T Daleep, President Indian Nursing Council (INC), New Delhi under the leadership of S. Gurdyal Singh Buttar, President, Nursing Training Institute Association, Punjab.
The delegation requested INC to relax nursing admission criteria for specifically Punjab because lot of students could not appear in the entrance test conducted by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS, Faridkot).
Even the state has also written to INC vide letter number no. 3-ME-3-PB-23- 14548 dated 17TH Oct, 2023.
INC vide notification F. No. 22-10/NEET/2018-19-INC Dated 18th Oct, 2023 has considered the Punjab State request and has permitted Punjab Para Medical Entrance Test (PPMET) appeared candidates for Punjab.
It is to be mentioned that otherwise the Nursing admission are done through the entrance test conducted by BFUHS.

The Supreme Court has today permitted All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi to permit admissions in technical colleges across the country till October 30th.
Earlier the date was 15th September and Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh etc were given relief in the cut off dates of admission by the Supreme Court.
In a petition filed by Dr. Anshu Kataria, President, Punjab Unaided CollegesAssociation- Punjab Unaided Technical Institutions Association (PUCA-PUTIA) and Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh the Bench of Justices Sh. BR Gavai & Sh. Prashant Mishra have permitted admissions till 30th October.
This would give relief to lakhs of students who were seeking admissions in approx 11000 technical colleges across the nation.
Adv Siddharth R Gupta appeared in the Supreme court on behalf of PUCA and submitted that students of Punjab were affected by floods during admissions days & North East students could not secure their seats due to ongoing disturbance.
