Purpose of the Scheme:

To provide financial support to meritorious students from Bihar who wish to pursue higher education after passing 10+2. Under this scheme, the government offers education loans of up to ₹4 lakh at 0% interest, making higher studies accessible for all.

Documents Required

Applicants need to prepare the following documents to apply under the scheme:

  1. Class 10+2 Mark Sheet

  2. Domicile Certificate (Resident Proof of Bihar)

  3. Admission Letter/Selection Certificate from a recognized institution

  4. Fee Structure issued by the institution

  5. PAN Card of the applicant

  6. Self-attested copies of the application form with passport-size photographs

  7. Last 6 months’ bank statements of parents/guardians

  8. Form-16 and previous year’s family income certificate

  9. ITR (Income Tax Return) of the last 2 years (if applicable)

  10. Valid identity proof (Aadhaar Card / Voter ID / Passport)

Loan Approval Process

  • Submit your application and all required documents online.

  • The District Registration and Counseling Center (DRCC) will verify the documents within 15 working days.

  • Verified applications are forwarded to partner banks for final decision.

  • The bank notifies students about loan approval or rejection via SMS.

  • Upon approval, the student must visit the concerned bank branch to complete the remaining formalities and paperwork.

Follow these steps to apply for the Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme through the official portal:

  1. Visit the official website:
    http://www.7nishchay-yuvaupmission.bihar.gov.in/

  2. Click on “New Applicant Registration”.

  3. Enter your basic details such as name, contact info, and email ID.

  4. You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number and email.

  5. Enter the OTP to proceed to the next form.

  6. Fill in your personal, educational, and course details.

  7. From the three available options, select “Student Credit Card”.

  8. Fill out the credit card application form and upload required documents.

  9. Click the Submit button after completing the form.

  10. After successful submission, a Unique Application ID will be sent to your mobile number, and a PDF copy of your application form will be generated for recordkeeping.

Post-Submission Process

  • Visit your nearest DRCC Center with the printed form and original documents for verification.

  • DRCC forwards your application to the selected bank for processing.

  • The bank will contact you via SMS for further action.
