
Experts from PGI, NIPER, PTU, Fortis & Morepen interacts with Aryans Pharmacy students on world Pharmacist Day
Observing the vision of International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) & World Health Organization (WHO), Aryans College of Pharmacy Rajpura, Near Chandigarh celebrated “World Pharmacist Day” on this year theme Pharmacy: Always Trusted for Your Health.
On this special occasion Dr. Bikash Medhi, Professor, Pharmacology, PGIMER, Dr. Prabha Garg, Professor, Department of Pharmacoinfomatics, NIPER, Dr. Shivani Juneja Bedi, Head, Dept of Clinical Pharmacology, Fortis Hospital, Mohali, Mr. Rajesh Kumar, Vice President, Morpen Laboratories Ltd. & Dr. Rahul Deshmukh, Professor & HoD, Dept. of Pharmacy, MRS-PTU, Bathinda interacted with Aryans B. Pharma & D. Pharma students. Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group presided over the webinar.
Dr. Kataria while congratulating all speakers & while highlighting the importance of this day said that every year on 25th September, world pharmacist day is celebrated globally. The helping hands of the pharmacists especially during the pandemic are worth mentioning. So, it is important to give respect and pay tribute to the selfless services of pharmacists across the world.
Dr. Medhi while interacting said that Pharmacy profession has remained a trusted profession for the healthcare needs of people. Now the role of pharmacists will be more after this pandemic. Dr. Garg highlighted that modern sciences like artificial intelligence (AI) can contribute a lot of opportunities for business transformation in Pharma industry. AI has brought a radical shift in the pharma industry’s innovation paradigm, added Garg.
Dr. Deshmukh said that India Pharmaceutical Industry is one of the best developed and fastest growing market that produces about 20 % of the world’s drugs. Armed with new technologies this sector will bring the new generation of pharmaceutical scientists. Dr. Juneja while giving more information said that Pharmacists have an opportunity to educate the community regarding the risks and benefits of vaccines, provide information about safety and efficacy, explain the benefits.
Mr. Singh said that Indian pharmaceutical sector supplies over 50% of global demand for various vaccines. Globally, India ranks 3rd in terms of pharmaceutical production. The domestic pharmaceutical industry includes a network of 3,000 drug companies and around 10,500 manufacturing units.
The opening & closing remarks were given by Dr. Krishna Singla Principal, Aryans Pharmacy College & Dr. Parsanta Das, Principal, Aryans College of Pharmacy. On this occasion a quiz completion was organized & the students participated enthusiastically.

Aryans and Bhagwant Mann have 15 years old bonding
Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura near Chandigarh congratulated Bhagwant Mann on his massive victory in the elections. Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges said that Bhagwant Mann had talked about the improvement of education and health from the very beginning and hopefully the upcoming government of Mann will bring new dawn in the field of education.
It is worth mentioning that Aryans Group and Bhagwant Mann have a 15-year old bonding. Mann has been a part of various programs of Aryans for the last 15 years, no matter what position he held.
It is also to be mentioned here that last 3-4 years back when Mann visited Aryans campus, he expressed happiness while addressing students and said that when he came to Aryans campus for the first time in 2007, Aryans was a small campus and today it has transformed into very big campus.

Aryans congratulates Anand Sharma on becoming Member, Haryana Public Service Commission

Aryans Group of colleges, Rajpura Near Chandigarh congratulated Sh. Anand Kumar Sharma as he joined the member of Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC). Governor Bandaru Dattatreya administered the oath to Sharma at the Raj Bhavan. Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group greeted Sharma with a bouquet.
Kataria while congratulating said that Sharma is a sincere, hardworking, innovative and visionary person. His achievements have been synonymous with his professional life and the disciplined and dedicated approach coupled with the ownership of the responsibilities given to him.
It is to be mentioned that Sharma was working as the Director of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. Born in 1973 in Bhambhewa, Jind, Anand has completed his post graduation in Chemistry.

Aryans celebrates Engineers’ Day
Dean, Sher-e-Kashmir University interacted with Aryans Engineering students

On Engineers Day, a webinar on “New Era of Civil engineering” was organised at Aryans College of Engineering, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh. Prof. (Dr.) Rohitashw Kumar, Dean, College of Engineering & Technology, Sher- e- Kashmir University of Agriculture Science & Technology (SKUAST), Jammu & Kashmir interact with the Aryans students of B.Tech & Polytechnic Diploma. Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans group presided over the event.
Kumar while interacting said that Civil Engineering is the only branch of engineering which contributes directly towards the society and it is the oldest branch of engineering. There would be no treated water to drink, no safe buildings and structures, no transportation infrastructure for travelling and no drainage and irrigation channel without this important field of Engineering, he added.
Kumar said that Civil Engineering touches us in our day to day life. The foundation of our society is built by Civil Engineers. They are instrumental in designing, building and maintaining our roads and our drinking water supply & supervise the infrastructure like bridges, dams, and tunnels etc., told Kumar.
It is to be mentioned that Nation celebrates Engineer’s Day on 15th September to commemorate the birth anniversary of the greatest Indian Engineer Bharat Ratna Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya who has various contributions in the field of Engineering.

Governor Haryana honours Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group
In “FAP State Awards”, organised by Federation of Private School Association of Punjab (FAP), Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh; President, Punjab Unaided Colleges Association (PUCA); President, Federation of Self Financing Technical Institutions (FSFTI) & Co- Chairman, Joint Association of Colleges (JAC) was honoured by Sh. Bandaru Dattatreya, Governor of Haryana for excellence in the field of education.
On the occasion, Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal, Renowned Environmentalist; Social worker; Padma Shree Awardee, Dr. Surjeet Singh Patar, Famous Punjabi Language Writer; Poet of Punjab; S. Satnam Singh Sandhu, Chancellor, Chandigarh University; Patron, JAC & Dr. Jagjit Singh, President, FAP; President, JAC were present.

Concepts and Objectives of SARFAESI Act-2002 discussed in Aryans

Aryans College of Law, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh organized a webinar on “An outline introduction to Sarfaesi Act, 2002”. Ms. Bhagyashri Setia, Advocate, Punjab & Haryana High Court, Chandigarh interacted with the students of LL.B & BA-LL.B. Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges presided over the event.
Setia while interacting with students said that the Securitization and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Securities Interest Act, 2002, also known as the SARFAESI Act. It allows banks and other financial institution to auction residential or commercial properties to recover loans. The first asset reconstruction company (ARC) of India, ARCIL, was set up under this act, added Setia.
She further said that under this act secured creditors have much right for enforcement of security interest under section 13 of this act. If borrower of financial assistance makes any default in repayment of loan or any instalment and his account is classified as non performing Asset by secured creditor, then secured creditor may require before expiry of period of 60 days to discharge their liability or pay off their debt by written notice, explained Setia.
While answering the questions she said that the Act grants the powers of seizure to banks. Under these provisions, the banks may issue notices in writing to the defaulting borrower insisting the discharge of its liabilities within 60 days. The provisions of this Act apply to outstanding loans (above Rs. 1 lakh), which are classified as Non-Performing Assets (NPA), she said.
