UK health expert interacts with Aryans students on COVID-19
In view of surging cases of Covid, an awareness drive on “COVID-19- The uninvited Guest” held at Aryans
As a proactive measure, to aware students & staff aware about a third wave, that may see a sporadic rise in cases after festive season a webinar for awareness on Covid-19 held at Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura Near Chandigarh. Dr. Vishal Kapil, Physician, Herts Urgent Care, National Health Service, United Kingdom interacted with the Aryans students of Nursing, Pharmacy, Law, Engineering, Management, B. Ed and Agriculture. Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group presided over the event.
Dr. Kapil said that we may face a possible spike in the weeks ahead as a result of the approaching festive season. The coming weeks are crucial for us because we would be celebrating festivals. Thus, festivals have to be celebrated with Covid-appropriate behavior, he advised.
While interacting he mentioned that the challenge is to keep cases from spiralling during the festive season. The festival season which is approaching is a time for us to combine caution in our conduct with celebration in our spirit. Crowding, whether in indoor or outdoor locations, will provide the virus an opportunity to infect many people in a short time, he told.
While motivating students he said that fortunately, we’ve made significant progress in our understanding of this disease, our ability to combat it, vaccination and our efforts to help patients suffering with it. But emerging threats of infectious diseases like COVID-19 demand more paramedical in future, added Kapil.

In Innovative Idea Awards during the event Empowering Youth: Empowering Nation organized by Aryans Group of Colleges, Near Chandigarh, Aryans students made presentations of their various innovative idea including “Seabin” to clean aquatic ecosystems, “Solar balloon” for renewable energy, “Snow Melting Road” for unfavorable conditions, “Solar Dryer” to preserve fruits & vegetables, “Pavegen” to generate energy through footsteps, “Traffic Management Application” to enable vehicles to drive safely etc. On the occasion, Youth from various states participated in the event virtually as well as physically.
Dr. MP Poonia, Vice Chairman, All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi (AICTE) was the Chief Guest in inaugural ceremony while Padam Shree Yogeshwar Dutt, Indian Wrestler graced the closing ceremony. Sh. Anand Shrama, Member, Haryana Public service Commission (HPSC) was Guest of honour. Dr Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group presided over the event.
Dr Poonia while addressing Youth said that I want to congratulate all Aryans students & their project directors who have made various innovative presentations which are going to help entire community to streamline their life during unfavorable environmental conditions as well as to make life more sustainable.
Mr. Dutt encouraged youth to come forward for sports & said that today’s youth is very talented and engaging them more to take part in International sports including Common Wealth Games, Olympics etc would also be a great initiative. I am impressed by the dedication, devotion and perseverance showed by the students of Aryans Group the field of Innovations.
Mr. Sharma said that I must congratulate Aryans team who thought of making such cost effective projects. We know that our lakes, water reservoirs are in danger due to heavy pollution, encroachments, unplanned growth of hamlets etc. I hope seabin would be a perfect solution for these all problems, he added.
Dr. Kataria while thanking Chief Guest said that it’s always matter of pride for that Dr. Poonia is always there for motivating our students. Aryans students are excelling, not only in innovations but also in the merit list of IKG-PTU, MRS-PTU, Punjabi University, cultural, sports, placements etc.

Bhog of Akhand Path held at Aryans on the commencement of 15th Academic Session
To seek the blessings from the Almighty & to pay obeisance to the Shri Guru Granth Sahib, Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh held Akhand Path (Recitation) Sahib Ji for Students and staff on the beginning of 15th Academic Session. All the members of Teaching and Non-teaching staff of the college took part in this religious programme. The Path was followed by langar. ‘Kadha prasad’ was also distributed among students.
While praying for peace, progress and prosperity for Dr. Anshu Kataria said that our Guru Sahiban showed us the path of honesty, unity, truth and bravery. Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi grants approval to Aryans Institute of Nursing to start B.Sc. Nursing Course
Indian Nursing Council (INC), New Delhi has granted approval to Aryans Institute of Nursing, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh to start B. Sc. Nursing with an intake of 50 seats. The approval has been given to conduct B. Sc. Nursing course from the session 2021-22 vide letter number 18-26/8714-INC/15875 dated 6th Sep, 2021.
Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group said that today, doctors & nurses are on the front lines of the COVID-19 response. Forced to cope up with limited personnel, hospitals nationwide are struggling to provide adequate care for coronavirus patients. As per reports, the Post-COVID net employment change 2018-2030 for health professionals will be a whopping around 112%, added Kataria.
He further added that the ratio of nurses to the population is very low, as per norms set by the World Health Organization (WHO). The nurse to population ratio is 1:670 against the norm of 1:300, as per the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW). Keeping in view, this course has been started in Aryans as the demand for nursing professionals in post Covid-19 scenario is projected to increase in the coming years, he explained.
It is to be mention that Aryans Institute of Nursing is already running GNM & ANM approved from Punjab Government & Punjab Nurses Registration Council (PNRC), Mohali while Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot has given affiliation to the institute to start B. Sc. Nursing course.

Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi Sanctions 100 more B. Pharmacy seats to Aryans
Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi has granted approval for 100 more seats in B. Pharmacy for Aryans Pharmacy College, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh Vide notification No. 1302: PB-110/2021- 2022, 112 C, dated 27th June, 2021. On the other hand, Maharaja Ranjeet Singh Punjab Technical University, Bathinda has also given its affiliation for 100 more seats of B. Pharmacy.

Now the role of pharmacists will be more after this pandemic. The Covid-19 pandemic has exposed the fragile healthcare system of the country. He further added that this crisis has served to highlight how vital healthcare workers are? Keeping in view, more B. Pharma seats have been added as the demand for Pharma professionals will not disappear in post Covid-19 scenario but is projected to increase in the coming years in both Government as well as Private sectors, added kataria.
It is to be mentioned that Aryans College of Pharmacy is already offering 100 seats in B. Pharma & 60 seats in D. Pharma. Now, with the fresh sanction, 100 more students will be able to secure their seats in B. Pharmacy.
