
Aryans Celebrates International Nurses Day
Expert from PGIMER, Chandigarh & Medical Education, Punjab address Aryans Nursing students
Aryans Institute of Nursing (AIN), Rajpura, just outside Chandigarh, celebrated International Nurses Day with the theme *”Our Nurses, Our Future: The Economic Power of Care.”* The occasion was honored by Dr. Varinder Garg—OSD to the President (PGIMER), Union Health Minister, Government of India; Principal Investigator, ICMR-CIBioD; and senior faculty at the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh—as Chief Guest.
Guests of Honour were Dr. Puneet Girdhar, Joint Director, Medical Education, Punjab; S. Gurdyal Singh Buttar, President, Nursing Training Institute Association (NTIA), Punjab; and Dr. Gurpreet Singh, Joint Secretary, Punjab Unaided Colleges Association (PUCA).
Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman Aryans Group of Colleges, was the chief guest of the function.
Pgi specialist, Dr. Varinder Garg noted that although doctors are hailed for their medical prowess, the work of nurses goes unnoticed and gets overshadowed within the hospital premises. But times have changed, and one of the strongest examples in recent times has been the covid-19 pandemic.
