Dean, Sher-e-Kashmir University interacted with Aryans Engineering students

On Engineers Day, a webinar on “New Era of Civil engineering” was organised at Aryans College of Engineering, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh. Prof. (Dr.) Rohitashw Kumar, Dean, College of Engineering & Technology, Sher- e- Kashmir University of Agriculture Science & Technology (SKUAST), Jammu & Kashmir interact with the Aryans students of B.Tech & Polytechnic Diploma. Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans group presided over the event.
Kumar while interacting said that Civil Engineering is the only branch of engineering which contributes directly towards the society and it is the oldest branch of engineering. There would be no treated water to drink, no safe buildings and structures, no transportation infrastructure for travelling and no drainage and irrigation channel without this important field of Engineering, he added.
Kumar said that Civil Engineering touches us in our day to day life. The foundation of our society is built by Civil Engineers. They are instrumental in designing, building and maintaining our roads and our drinking water supply & supervise the infrastructure like bridges, dams, and tunnels etc., told Kumar.
It is to be mentioned that Nation celebrates Engineer’s Day on 15th September to commemorate the birth anniversary of the greatest Indian Engineer Bharat Ratna Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya who has various contributions in the field of Engineering.

Governor Haryana honours Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group
In “FAP State Awards”, organised by Federation of Private School Association of Punjab (FAP), Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh; President, Punjab Unaided Colleges Association (PUCA); President, Federation of Self Financing Technical Institutions (FSFTI) & Co- Chairman, Joint Association of Colleges (JAC) was honoured by Sh. Bandaru Dattatreya, Governor of Haryana for excellence in the field of education.
On the occasion, Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal, Renowned Environmentalist; Social worker; Padma Shree Awardee, Dr. Surjeet Singh Patar, Famous Punjabi Language Writer; Poet of Punjab; S. Satnam Singh Sandhu, Chancellor, Chandigarh University; Patron, JAC & Dr. Jagjit Singh, President, FAP; President, JAC were present.
Jagjit Singh said that Dr. Kataria is continuously working hard since 25 years for the survival of Unaided Colleges of Punjab. Not this in very short span of time, he has established Aryans Group of Colleges which is one of the best colleges in Punjab & Chandigarh region.
After receiving this honour & while thanking the federation Kataria said that Aryans Group is committed for quality education in the region. It is a matter of pride for him to receive this prestigious award. Kataria congratulated the whole Aryans Team & said that the students and staff of Aryans Group have achieved many achievements in the last 14 years. He congratulated all the members of the Federation for organizing the event.

Concepts and Objectives of SARFAESI Act-2002 discussed in Aryans

Aryans College of Law, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh organized a webinar on “An outline introduction to Sarfaesi Act, 2002”. Ms. Bhagyashri Setia, Advocate, Punjab & Haryana High Court, Chandigarh interacted with the students of LL.B & BA-LL.B. Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges presided over the event.
Setia while interacting with students said that the Securitization and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Securities Interest Act, 2002, also known as the SARFAESI Act. It allows banks and other financial institution to auction residential or commercial properties to recover loans. The first asset reconstruction company (ARC) of India, ARCIL, was set up under this act, added Setia.
She further said that under this act secured creditors have much right for enforcement of security interest under section 13 of this act. If borrower of financial assistance makes any default in repayment of loan or any instalment and his account is classified as non performing Asset by secured creditor, then secured creditor may require before expiry of period of 60 days to discharge their liability or pay off their debt by written notice, explained Setia.
While answering the questions she said that the Act grants the powers of seizure to banks. Under these provisions, the banks may issue notices in writing to the defaulting borrower insisting the discharge of its liabilities within 60 days. The provisions of this Act apply to outstanding loans (above Rs. 1 lakh), which are classified as Non-Performing Assets (NPA), she said.

National Nutrition Week concluded in Aryans

To make everyone understand the importance of nutrition to maintain a healthy lifestyle, Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh organized various activities on National Nutrition Week on the theme “Feeding Smart Right From Start’”. Dt. Harpreet Kaur Ghai, Ayurvedic and Clinical Nutritionist & Dt. Sonia Adlakha, Vedique Nutrition expert interacted with the Aryans students of Nursing, Pharmacy, Law, Engineering, Management, B.Ed and Agriculture. Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group presided over the event.
Dt. Kaur while interacting said that food and nutrition are mandatory for overall physical and mental health and ever since the pandemic has wreaked havoc, awareness about healthy food and nutrition has started to spread in every nook and corner. A nutritious diet is essential for a healthy mind and body, stressed Kaur.
Dt. Sonia said that a balanced diet nourishes the body from top to toe, in and out. It is that component that keeps all bodily functions in check and maintains the cycle of wellbeing. To remain fit and healthy, one has to ensure to eat protein enriched diet. They have to make to eat the right thing to avoid health issues and deficiencies, she explained.
It is to be mentioned that the National Nutrition Week is observed in India from September 1 to September 7 to create awareness about good nutrition and health. On this occasion, a declamation contest was organized & Aryans students including Rupali Kaundal, Ushandeep kaur, Abhishek Jaiswal, Rahul, Arti etc. participated enthusiastically.

Punjab Technical University Permits Aryans to start Paramedical Courses

IK Gujral Punjab technical University, Jalandhar has granted approval to Aryans Institute of Nursing, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh to start various UGC approved Paramedical Courses with 30 seats each including Cardiac Care, Operation Theatre & Medical Technology – Anesthesia from this session (Reference number IKGPTU/Reg./Affl./2328-2335).
Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges said that paramedical science has emerged as important branch of medical science. Today, doctors, nurses & Health Care workers are on the front lines of the COVID-19 response. Forced to cope up with limited personnel, hospitals nationwide are struggling to provide adequate care for corona virus patients.
He further added that this crisis has served to highlight how vital healthcare workers are? Keeping in view, new paramedical courses have been started in Aryans as the demand for healthcare professionals will not disappear in post Covid-19 scenario but is projected to increase in the coming years in both Government as well as Private sectors, added kataria.

A webinar on Robotics & Artificial Intelligence held at Aryans
To highlight the future aspects of Robotics & Artificial Intelligence, a webinar on industrial application of Robotics was held at Aryans College of Engineering, Rajpura Near Chandigarh. Er. Vikas Kapil, Plant Head, Royal Enfield, Chennai interacted with the Aryans students Engineering & Polytechnic. Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group presided over the event.
Vikas while interacting with students said that the main era of artificial intelligence, robotic research and development was the mid-20th century. Robots were mainly employed for tasks that were too dirty, distant or dangerous for humans. Nowadays, Robotic interventions are being introduced and well-accepted as a smarter tool in healthcare too, he said.
He further told that the goal of robotics is to design machines that can help and assist humans. Though relatively young, the robotics industry is filled with an admirable promise of progress that science fiction could once only dream about. From the deepest depths of our oceans to thousands of miles in outer space, robots will be found performing tasks that humans couldn’t dream of achieving alone, explained Vikas.
While highlighting the future aspects of Robotics he said that in the near future, thanks to advances in these technologies, robots will continue getting smarter and more energy efficient. They will take on more difficult challenges and will help to secure global supply chains, he said.
