Speaking on the occasion, the Lt Governor pointed out how the young and old remain immersed and in a state of ‘SOAKING’ in the internet, instead of ‘SEEKING’ from the Internet for development. He lauded the technological developments in the Virtual Reality and Artificial Intelligence & equally stressed the need to protect our personal mindshare that gets compromised as it gets herded and hoarded depleting the ability of users to exercise their minds.
Chairman, AICTE, Dr. Anil D Sahasrabudhe while addressing said that by ‘seeking’ in the Internet with a purpose we can build potential but by ‘soaking’ in the Internet we merely become floating food for digital and social media companies. We will be building a unique block chain with all the users and institutions as our ‘partners’ and not mere ‘users’. He pointed that Facebook is valued at 1 Trn USD with approx. with 3 billion ‘USERS’, where each user mind-share is worth approx. USD 400 as part of the 1 Trn for FACEBOOK. While the use of Facebook for most sere yields nothing.
Speaking on the occasion, the founder of the app Sh. Yogesh Kochhar & Sh. Anoop Bansal, Royester, Resources said that this app will redefine ‘USERS’ and ‘USAGE’. It will help to show to the user in fascinating manner, her own ‘MINDMAP’ and ‘MINDSHARE’and enable them to protect it from getting eroded or hoarded. The app maps and manages the user’s stress and happiness levels.
Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh & President, Federation of Self Financing Technical Institutions (FSFTI), All India said that excessive internet use, psychological distress, and its inter-relationship among students can impact their academic progress, scholastic competence, career goals, and extracurricular interests. Thus apps like “YourOneLife” will surely help to protect mindshare & assess happiness index of youth. I must congratulate all the founders for developing & launching this happiness app.
