With the increasing complexities in students lives, to provide them with a mind and body that is physically and mentally sound, the Power Yoga workshop “Healing From Within” was organized by Aryans group of Colleges, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh on a virtual platform. The Power Yoga expert Dr. Rajni Attri interacted with the faculty members & Aryans students of Management, Engineering, Law, Nursing, Pharmacy, B.Ed, Polytechnic Diploma, Education and Agriculture. The workshop saw a massive participation not only from students, but faculty and staff members too.
Dr. Attri while addressing said that yoga not only brings down stress levels, but also strengthens the immune system. It brings more oxygen to the body & brain thereby making one feel more energetic & relaxed. Yoga lowers the level of stress hormones, creates a positive mental state to deal with negative energy & create a good mood to remain cheerful, she said.
She added that “Yoga postures and meditation are effective techniques to release stress. It’s a safe and effective way for everyone to improve their strength, flexibility and balance. It’s even good for people with high blood pressure, aches and pains, depression, stress and many other ailments.”, she explained.
She later took yoga sessions with all participants starting with warming up and stretching were followed by a series of Padmasanas, Halaasan Sukhasan, Naukasana, Vrikshasana, Tadasana, BhujangAsana and ending with Savasana. She motivated all participants and conveyed the importance of making yoga an integral part of our daily life.
