Dixit while interacting with students said that if you’re focusing on eating right, it’s great to lean towards clean eating from a genuine source. Organic foods are natural, without any artificial agents like herbicides, pesticides, weedicides, fertilizers and GMO’s. Fresh, organic food helps people feel better, and is important for preserving the environment, she added.
Dixit said Organic farming has suddenly mushroomed in the midst of COVID -19. Organizations and individuals are highly encouraged to adapt the techniques to grow clean produce across the globe. The increasing popularity of organic food is an answer to ecological, agricultural and social problems, she stressed.
She further explained that besides health benefits, there are environmental benefits of organic farming too. Many people are raising their voices and showing their concern about the variety of chemicals and poisons used by companies to grow food. Even though the chemicals used heavily in agriculture have been diet tested, their long-term effects are still up for debate.
