To create awareness of the Environment and Nature, Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh organized a webinar on World Environment Day, under the theme “Ecosystem Restoration”. Dr. Ranjana Sharma Garg, Mrs. North India Queen 2019 & an Environmentalist interacted with the students of Engineering, Law, Management, Nursing, Pharmacy, B.Ed, Agriculture etc of Aryans. Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group presided over the webinar.

Dr. Ranjana while interacting with students said that this day is celebrated on June 5 every year to remind people about the importance of nature. All kinds of ecosystem can be restored, including forests, farmlands, cities, wetlands and oceans. Restoration initiatives can be launched by almost anyone, discussed Ranjana.

She further said that the emergence of COVID-19 has also shown just how disastrous the consequences of ecosystem loss can be. By shrinking the area of natural habitat for animals, we have created ideal conditions for pathogens including corona viruses to spread but amid the corona virus-induced lockdown, nature is getting time to clean itself and reclaim its space, she explained.

On this occasion, a photography contest was also organized & students from all departments participated enthusiastically. The winners of the contest  including Shahid Anwar, B. Pharma; Wasim Abid & Suliman Saith, MBA; Ekta Shukla, B. Pharma & Dilawar Ahmad Lone from MBA were announced.

Webinar on IELTS organised at Aryans

Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh organized a webinar on International English Language Test (IELTS), Gateway to International Education. Ms Nidhi Malik, IELTS Trainer interacted with the Aryans students of Nursing, Pharmacy, Law, Engineering, Management, B.Ed and Agriculture. Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group presided over the event.

Nidhi while interacting with students that English is the third most spoken language in the world, with 379 million speakers worldwide. IELTS is designed to help you work, study or migrate to a country where English is the native language. This includes countries such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the UK and USA. Your ability to listen, read, write and speak in English will be assessed during the test. IELTS is graded on a scale of 1-9, she said.

Nidhi said that the higher you can score in your IELTS, reflects a better understanding and ability to communicate in English. Each immigration body, university, workplace or institution will have specific IELTS score requirements. The score you need will depend on what you are looking to do in the country, i.e work or study. IELTS is developed to provide a fair and accurate assessment of English language proficiency, she added

It is to be mentioned that Aryans Group of Colleges has tied up with more than 500 reputed colleges and universities of Canada. Students can start their education with few courses at Aryans and complete the remaining courses at Canada under Credit Transfer or pathway programs.

World No Tobacco Day celebrated at Aryans

With the aims to spread awareness about the dangers of tobacco and its negative impact on health, World No Tobacco Day was celebrated  at Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura Near Chandigarh under this year’s theme “Commit to quit”. Dr. Jyoti Kapil, Student Mentor, Head, Life sciences, Kanoria Mahavidyalaya, Jaipur interacted with the Aryans students of Nursing, Pharmacy, Law, Engineering, Management, B.Ed and Agriculture. Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group presided over the event.

Dr. Jyoti while interacting with students said that Tobacco causes 8 million deaths every year. Evidence released this year shows that smokers were more likely to develop severe disease with COVID-19 compared to non-smokers. Cigarettes contain about 600 ingredients which after burning generate more than 7,000 chemicals and at least 69 of them are linked to cancer, added jyoti.

She further said that Tobacco is the leading cause of respiratory disorders like chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, tuberculosis, cancers, leukemia, cataracts, and pneumonia. In 2008, the WHO banned any kind of advertisement or promotion of tobacco. As the world’s most populated country, China is the leader in the cigarette industry. She said.

On this occasion, an online speech competition was also organized.  Students from various departments participated with great enthusiasm. Ekta Shukla from Pharma, Raveena Kaundal  from B. Sc. Nursing &  Shahid Anwar from Pharma stood first, Second & third in the competition.

Nursing Students of Aryans shines in PNRC result

In the GNM Second Year examinations conducted by Punjab Nurses Registration Council (PNRC), Urvasi Rana (Haryana) of 2nd Year, Aryans Institute of Nursing, Rajpura Near Chandigarh  bagged 1st position by scoring 485 marks, Sahil sharma  (Jammu) bagged 2nd position by scoring 466 while Marina  Mega (Arunachal Pradesh) bagged 3rd position by scoring 456 marks out of 700 in GNM course.

Dr. Rajinderjit Kaur Bajwa, Principal, Aryans Institute of Nursing congratulated the students and faculty for the continuous efforts and hard work done. Dr. Bajwa said that apart from regular academics, extracurricular activities like workshops, seminars, community and clinical postings on nursing are also being organized time to time to enhance the skills and knowledge of the students.

It is to be mentioned that Aryans Institute of Nursing is running GNM (3 Years) and ANM (2 Years Course) approved by Indian Nursing Council (INC), New Delhi and Affiliated to Punjab Nurses Registration Council PNRC, Mohali and B. Sc. Nursing, affiliated to Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot. The course focuses on the study of health care of various individuals. Students are also trained on how to take care of equipment, setting up of Operation Theater, provide medication timely to patient and maintenance of records etc.

Admissions at Aryans Institute of Nursing in  B. Sc. Nursing, GNM and ANM course have already been started for 2021-2022 session. In nursing, Aryans have 60 seats in B. Sc. Nursing, 60 seats in GNM Course and 40 seats in ANM Course and such excellent results by the students and College regularly makes the College one of the most preferred destinations among students. good excellent.

A workshop on “Future of start ups Post Covid -19” held at Aryans

Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh, organised a  virtual workshop on “Future of start ups Post Covid -19″. Mrs Pooja Kumar, Women Entrepreneur, Founder Director; Innove Intellects, Patent agent, Govt. of India interacted with the faculty members & Aryans students of Engineering, Nursing, Pharmacy, Law, Management, Education and Agriculture. Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group presided over the webinar.

 Mrs. Kumar while addressing with students & faculty members said that the pandemic has brought in many resets, the most stunning one has been to the start-up world where the founders have to suddenly be concerned about the bottom line for their survival from a euphoric growth and scale-at-all-costs model. One thing that COVID has done is it has brought into sharp focus the need for a resilient and sustainable world, she said.

Mrs. Kumar said that everyone around the globe is suffering from the Covid-19 pandemic and several industries are trying to overcome the economic turmoil. However, few industries like the mask, infrared based thermometer, PPE Kits, online meeting tools, media streaming, non-contact-based systems, pharmaceuticals, and few others have witnessed growth in licensing activity, sale of patented product & technology, she explained.

She said that though everything is already digitized, one has to look beyond other matters affected by the pandemic like liquidity issues or business continuity. Since it’s still difficult for things to return to normal, we should start evaluating current business processes and think about the future business landscape. What can we learn from this ongoing crisis that we can take in order for us to adjust to the “new normal”?

Aryans Institute of Nursing celebrates World Hypertension Day

To combat low awareness rates for high blood pressure, Aryans Institute of Nursing (AIN), Rajpura Near Chandigarh celebrated World Hypertension Day under this year’s theme “Measure Your Blood Pressure Accurately, Control It, Live Longer”. Dr. Neerja Sood, Associate Professor, Biological sciences, University of Delhi interacted with the Aryans students of Nursing, Pharmacy, Law, Engineering, Management, B.Ed and Agriculture. Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group presided over the function.

Dr. Neerja while interacting said that Hypertension is another name of high blood pressure which leads to severe health complications such as heart attacks, strokes, dementia, kidney disease and vision loss. People who suffer from hypertension are generally not aware because there are no specific symptoms to detect the early stages of this disease, she said.

Neerja added that the Hypertension affects more than 30% of the adult population worldwide. This is an issue when blood pressure values are constantly raised and exceed above 140/90 mm Hg & leads to dangerous cardiovascular diseases. Accurate blood pressure measurement is essential for the proper diagnosis and management of hypertension, she said.

While answering students’ questions, she said that this day is celebrated on 17th may every year worldwide. Hypertension can be easily reduced by some lifestyle changes including Lose extra pounds, Eat a healthy diet, Reduce sodium in your diet, Limit the amount of alcohol you drink, Quit smoking, Reduce your stress, Monitor your blood pressure at home and see your doctor regularly, she explained.
