Pharma expert from Panjab University interacted with Aryans B. Pharma & D. Pharma students
In order to make the public and health care professionals aware that pharmacists are important members of the health care team, Aryans College of Pharmacy, Rajpura near Chandigarh organised a seminar & various competitions on “National Pharmacy Week” on this year’s theme “Pharmacy of the world-India”. Various activities including Poster Presentation, Declamation & Face Painting were organized on the occasion. Prof. (Dr.) Anil Kumar, Dept. of Pharmacology, University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Panjab University, Chandigarh was the Chief Guest of the closing ceremony. Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group presided over.
Kumar while interacting said that the main objective of celebration of this week is to acknowledge and thank all the pharmacists and pharmacy sectors who are working tirelessly during the time of great uncertainty and challenges. Further he added that the society has definitely recognized the services rendered by pharmacists and the importance of pharmacy services during the pandemic situation and continues to do so hereafter.
He said that it’s time to acknowledge the importance of pharmacists in the society as ‘if no pharmacists, then no medicines’; ‘and if no medicines, then no Swasth Bharat’. He suggested that growth of pharmacy is significantly increasing in India in the last few decades. It is one of the strongest economies in the world today.
It is to be mentioned that National Pharmacy week is celebrated during third week of November and recognizes the invaluable contributions pharmacists and technicians make to patient care.
