Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh organized a Scholarship Mela at Patna for the students of Bihar. Dr Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh presided over the function. Around 300 needy & deserving students of Bihar were selected in the last 2 months under SC/ST Scholarship Scheme. The scholarship letters were distributed to more than 50 students on this occasion. On this occasion, Aryans Scholarship Helpline 9876299888 for meritorious students of Bihar was also launched. Those students who have denied admission can apply for scholarship on this helpline.
Dr Kataria while addressing the students said that the Central Government has taken a commendable step by re-starting the Post Matric Scholarship (PMS) Scheme, for which a provision of Rs 58,000 crore has been made, which will benefit around 4 crore SC/ST students from all over the country.
Dr Kataria while giving more information to the media & congratulating selected students said that Chandigarh has become a preferred destination for the bihari student community for pursuing higher technical & non technical education for various reasons. The students of Bihar feel comfortable and safe in ‘City Beautiful’ because it is peaceful, drug free & crime free. In this session, around 300 students are selected and the total students studying in Aryans from Bihar has crossed the mark of 600, he added.
On this occasion, the Bihar admission team of Aryans including Mr Pankaj Rana, Mr Nishant Sharma, Mr Karamjeet Singh & Mr Rakesh Kumar were also present.
After getting scholarship letters, Abhay Kumar from Bettiah, Nilu Kumari from Supaul, Md Mahboob Alam from Purnea & Manisha Kumari from Buxar said that they are thankful to Aryans Group for doing a virtuous work by admitting them under SC/ST Scholarship scheme on the basis of zero fees. Usually, the students are denied admissions due to limited seats in Nursing & Pharmacy but Aryans has given them a golden chance and they assured that they will bring laurels in academics not only to their parents but to Bihar also, they added.
