Pedagogy

At the Aryans Group of Colleges, we aim at imparting not only theoretical but also practical knowledge and our Pedagogy is a perfect combination of these two. Case studies, group discussions, role plays and other such activities help reinforce the concepts learnt in the classroom by their application in real life instances. These sessions are made possible by proper research work, management games and films, industrial visits and expressions and special sessions by professionals from the industry. Here is a brief idea of how this works:


Case Studies

Decision making stimulated conditions is encouraged using cases. Using case studies extensively lays emphasis on practical application of the theoretical knowledge imparted in the classroom, thus exposing students to real life situations and problems.


Presentations

At Aryans Groups of Colleges, we understand the how important oral communication is for professionals. Therefore, we pay special attention to the enhancement of communication skills of students who would become professionals in the future. Ideas and plans are conveyed in an organized manner with the help of visual aids.


Group Discussions

Group discussions are an integral part of our Pedagogy. It helps students to convert thoughts into words and improves their public speaking skills. Also, these sessions prove to be helpful for enhancing leadership skills.


Short Term Projects

Students of our colleges are assigned with short term projects apart from two major projects. This is a unique part of our curriculum. The main aim is to give the students an opportunity to experience real life situations.


Industrial Tours & Visits

These tours give the much needed exposure to students. Many different organizations and companies are visited to give the students first hand information of the industry functioning and also an insight to the corporate world. This way, students get acquainted with the way the industry works. Regular industry visits give the students practical knowledge of the outside world scenario

Management Games & Role Plays

Management quizzes are a way to update the students' knowledge about the corporate world. Our students are encouraged to participate actively in not only intra institute competitions but also inter institute competitions and to win awards.

 

Games & Sports
A healthy body is the prerequisite for a healthy mind. Sports are a regular part of our curriculum. Various inter institute as well as intra institute competitions are organized and encouraged. The sports in our college include:

Analtyical Skills

Analytical skills are important for problem solving. These skills enable students to convert vague and unstructured information into organized and accurate information needed to solve a problem. Cases, brainstorming sessions and presentations are scheduled on a regular basis.

Interaction with different people and competitors enables students to perform outstandingly well.

 

Personality Development Programs

A number of personality development programs are organized by the Aryans Group of Colleges with the aim of overall development of students. The communication and presentation skills of the students are enhanced. Overall grooming brings out the best in our students.

Around 110 candidates were shortlisted by 35 companies from total of 1800 job seekers in 27th Aryans Job fest

“India needs at least 55 million additional jobs by 2015 to maintain the current ratio of employed people” this was stated by Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges, Dr. Anshu Kataria while inaugurating 27th Aryans Job Fest. He further said that as per the CRISIL report this high number is required to maintain the current ratio of employed people to total population at 39 percent. The Job Fest was held today at Aryans Campus. Over 35 companies like Arn infotel, Axtria infotech, Eva solutions Pvt ltd, Genpact, ICICI Bank, Global Chemicals, Logic ERP, Frisklancer services, Live Satyam Tech etc participated in this job fest. Around 1800 candidates from over from all over the North India came to participate out of which around 110 candidates were shortlisted in this one day fest. Depending upon their skills and talents companies have offered good packages starting from 1.5 lacs up to 3.5 lacs. Dr. Kataria further mentioned that apart from providing good education to the students it’s the responsibility of every College to facilitate its students with good job opportunities. The institutions should inculcate in them with business ideas, entrepreneurship and develop skills which will help them finding a suitable job. Aryans has achieved a great milestone in this direction. Ms. Tejinder Kaur, TPO, Aryans Group said that apart from Aryans, students of various Universities and Colleges not only of Chandigarh but other states like Punjab, Haryana, HP, JK, UP, Rajasthan etc. also came to participate in this Job Fest. Registrar, Aryans Group of Colleges, Prof. B.S Sidhu while Expressing his great joy at the remarkable success of the event said that with the unceasing efforts of the Management, staff and students the group has successfully completed its 27th Job fest with remarkable presence of companies.
