Dr Kiran Bedi inaugurates scholarship mela at Aryans campus, attended by over 3000 students

Dr Kiran Bedi, first woman IPS officer of India, today inaugurated the Scholarship Mela at Aryans Group of Colleges campus situated on Chandigarh-Patiala Highway, Near Chandigarh. The event saw massive participation from over 3000 students from the periphery. Dr Bedi had arrived at the campus to distribute scholarship letters to the needy and deserving students and to motivate them.

Welcoming Dr Kiran Bedi At Aryans campus, Dr Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges, said that it is a moment of pride for the group that Dr Bedi is visiting the campus for the fourth time. He termed Dr Bedi as a symbol of motivation for the youth, especially girls.

Dr Kiran Bedi said that it is important to dream and then chase them to achieve them. She said, "I, along with Aryans Group of Colleges, have made an attempt to enable students realize their dream of pursuing higher education, especially those who are needy but deserve to study further, through scholarships." She added that these scholarships have been awarded to students from various parts of the country and for doing so, she had visited parts of Bihar and Jharkhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Chandigarh etc to identify deserving students. She wished luck to students who received scholarship letters.

Aspirations of several students from the country took flight as Dr Kiran Bedi delivered scholarship letters to students belonging to lower segment of society. For enabling the Scholarship Mela, Aryans Group of Colleges has collaborated with Dr Kiran Bedi’s Navjyoti Foundation. The selected students will be able to pursue higher education at the Aryans Group of Colleges situated on Chandigarh-Patiala highway after getting their scholarship letters.

Dr Kataria added that the scholarships is an endevour of the group to take education to students who want to study ahead but lack the means for taking it up. He added that the group has also collaborated with a bank for enabling this concept.

Dr Kataria while addressing the huge gathering stated that Aryans Group of Colleges has always intended to provide education to those who need it the most. "All a student needs to do is register himself or herself on our website or give a call to our representative and we will take care of the rest," Dr Kataria added.

Representatives from Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh, stated that the partial scholarship will be doled out purely on merit basis. A part of the scholarship will be paid by Aryans Group of Colleges, a part will be paid by a bank and the remaining part will be borne by the students. Dr Bedi had earlier stated at the Aryans campus that she intends to support Dr Kataria's cause of spreading education to students who are downtrodden but deserve to pursue higher studies.

Aryans Business School has recently been awarded the Best Upcoming B-School of North India by a renowned magazine Business and Management Chronicle and Dr Bedi had earlier awarded ABS as the Best upcoming B-School of North-India.

Affiliations and Approvals
Aryans Group of Colleges is GMAT, GRE and XAT allied college of this region also the college uses CAT and MAT scores for admitting the candidates. The college is also having membership of CII, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, CMA and AIMA. To expose the students to international education standards & employment and to provide students the opportunities of education abroad Aryans Group of Colleges has entered into number of tie-ups / collaborations with foreign institutions such as Outline System (USA); LMSE (London); ITB (Dublin) & Fontys University (Netherlands).

Scholarships
